Yeah, i think my lineup prediction is a bit unrealistic, lol.

About Mario Gomez rumour. It's from the Sun, and there is no quote from anybody. And i don't see any reason why we should go for him while we have the likes of Wellbeck and Manucho?

Gathering anyone? No? Okay.. I'm not going either whistling.gif

How can fergie get aguero when atheletico don't want to allow him to leave? Given his current reputation, I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap too. And do you really think we can find another reputable striker cheaper than 30m? Tevez is proven, knows how we play, loves MU and the fans love him. - if fergie doesn't spend 30m on Tevez, I can't really see him signing anyone else like Aguero.

Agree with Maxi, Mario Gomez news sounds fake too. Given the squad's depth in the striker's dept, any next player we buy would most probably be a marketing stint.

Exactly. Not to mention that most likely Berbatov + Rooney will be our first choice partnership so Tevez/someone else will probably be the 3rd choice. If financial issue is preventing our from signing Tevez permanently then I don't see the club signing someone. They might promote one of Welbeck/Campbell/Manucho to 3rd choice striker?

yeah..

let those youngsters who from early stage bring us to the final for starting 11

players like Gibson, Nani and Tevez should get a nod

Evans should be rested because another injection will have side effect on him when he get older. Don't risk him and bring back Vidic, he didn't play for 2 games, and he is hungry plus he wanted to hunt someone down

Since Rooney didn't start...he as well start too for tmr game

Ferguson has said that Evans has recovered from the injections so he's good to go for Sunday. Besides, he's played throughout the competition and it'd not be fair to rob him from a starting berth against Spurs. I just hope Vidic partners him for this game with Neville and Fabio on the flanks.

We still need another one if Tevez leaves. Manucho is a bench star, Welbeck will be our 4th choice(really excited about him), Campbell should be sold(good player, and potentially a good EPL striker, but not for us), and the likes of Macheda/Petrucci(quality,both of 'em) need a few more years before they can go straight in regularly. But I agree we won't spend 30m on another striker. Around 15m and is a solid striker, able to play as the lone striker would be nice. Anelka calibre..

I hope Fabio plays tonight. That kid is potentially a monster at fullback.

Saha just scored a great goal. Shame about his injuries. Would be perfect for us right now as a 3rd choice. Is there any other striker like him out there?

Injury is part of football. But for Saha, injury is part of him. sicknote.

I disagree, our 3rd choice must be fit when called, not injuring himself while warming up. laugh.gif

As for the bolded part, do you mean his qualities?

his qualities as a poacher is very good. Even with his injuries problem, he managed quite a good goal ratio for us and now everton. He got good control, both footed, strong header - a very classic out and out striker.
