i think evans will be available... SAF's mind games?
*
Perhaps...but from what we saw last night, SAF has no real reason to unleash vidic unless Evans is really struggling. Genuine knock, but I do hope he can recover for the Inter match.

The contingency plan is to go all out attacking for the second leg at home, thus a cautious approach at the san siro would be crucial.

QUOTE(Wan @ Feb 22 2009, 02:44 PM)
God I hate Kuszczak! Rio had him covered.. barely, but still why the hell did he come out and then go to ground leaving Santa Cruz with an empty net to aim at? Someone should tell Kuszczak to stay cool and stay on his line especially when there is already a defender following the striker. Arrghh! Stupidx1b. Gave them confidence after that.

Luckily we won. Santa Cruz is hard to play against.
*
I wouldnt exactly say that "Rio had him covered" becuz some strikers delay their shots while some prefer to seize the chance at a given opportunity...But I agree with what you said about PIG being a little too rash in his decision. I guess being on the bench all the time din help his confidence..

Yes, Santa Cruz is good, but we all know what Sam's teams are made out of...Just like during his Bolton days.

FFS, this whole place seems to be a dreadful place when we lost a game. Get over it.

Oh wait, we did not lose. \O_o/

Unconventional huh.......I sense a Ferdinand-Rooney partnership at the back lol

I dun think Rafael is ready for the game, he'll be murdered by Mancini.

Many people were expecting him to be murdered by Robinho when we played Cteh early this season and we all know how that turned out. I'm guessing it will be Sheasy in the middle if Evans doesnt make it and Rafael on the right.
*
He barely survived Pedersen's attacks, so it could work either way with him...Youngsters tend to be a bit of a spastic in a game, and impress the hell out of you the next...time of turbulence eh.

I'm guessing if that is the case, Fletch would be employed to cover for Rafael instead of hoping Ronaldo/Nani to do track back..

I don't really see the point of you quoting from another thread. If you find that post amusing, why don;t you just reply and discuss IN that thread?

And to answer your question, I dont see the point of you bringing discussion from another thread.

Rafa always does well in European ties so I'm pretty much expecting Pool to win this one, or at least nick an away score draw. Real have found form after a pretty mediocre start, but Rafa might be a little too much for them. Chelsea v juve will be a tighter affair I reckon, with Ski probably nicking a 1-0.
*
doh.gif doh.gif Maxi, you 've found your partner in crime. shakehead.gif

Feeling sad we didn't win? Definitely, considering the chances we had. But I'm pretty optimistic with the coming home game, I don't think even Mourinho could prevent us. But still, a football is round, so nothing is definite.

In case you don't know, Air Asia are sponsoring the EPL referees already, so it wouldn't be too out of place. Plus, some of my friends who are foreigners have also said alot of good things about Air Asia, having used their services before. Air Asia is an international brand, made in Malaysia.
*
So that is why we are receiving the treatments acted out by the referees, damn AirAsia!!! mad.gif

Joke aside, I think T Fernandez wants to break into European countries in near future. By sponsoring us, I believe the future for them is bright.

*Off planning my euro trip* wave.gif

Now that is really bizzare?

You claimed you're an United fan. I bet, if not all, you've watched most of United's matches.

It is pretty obvious the logo of AirAsia being displayed on referees' shirts.
*
Prolly because it's not LoLnaldo wearing it, or else he would've noticed it right away instead of some old farts.

Saha just scored a great goal. Shame about his injuries. Would be perfect for us right now as a 3rd choice. Is there any other striker like him out there?
*
Injury is part of football. But for Saha, injury is part of him. sicknote.

I disagree, our 3rd choice must be fit when called, not injuring himself while warming up. laugh.gif

As for the bolded part, do you mean his qualities?

his qualities as a poacher is very good. Even with his injuries problem, he managed quite a good goal ratio for us and now everton. He got good control, both footed, strong header - a very classic out and out striker.
*
I have never been stingy with my praise for him whenver it is due. Those qualities, the reason we went for him in the first place to partner RVN. For me, he would be the player that leaves a question mark about what a player he could be for us without those injuries.

I've seen the replay, definitely not Rafa's fault Liverpool lost. It's the lack of fund, pitch mouse and Parry factors that caused their downfall. In fact, RAFA should immediately sign the 4-year contract Liverpool are offering him!

I believe most of our players are not in the game yet, except for Tevez and Ferdinand.

Second half, a good display by Gibson would please me a lot.

QUOTE(corez @ Mar 3 2009, 09:57 PM)
When we get our 18, we WILL be the most successful club DOMESTICALLY in Enguland.

WHY?

We level in league with them rite? 18 for both.

Next we look at the second most prestigous trophy in Enguland which is the FA Cup. We won it more than them. 11 vs 7

So domestically the tally is (League and FA Cup)

18-11 VS 18-7

The reasoning above is just like how we determine the Premier league. In the event of same points accumulated they look at the Goal Difference. The same reasoning with being equal on league tally, lets look at the next prestigous Trophy which is FA Cup.

So IF we win it this time, we would not be on equal footing (i.e. sharing the same perch) but will effectively knock em of the perch biggrin.gif and be crowned the most successful club DOMESTICALLY in Enguland. (Europe lain cite since we are 2 winnings below em)

BTW, any Liverpool fans willing to argue with my reasoning, feel free to do so.

5-3. They are already shifting their arguments, a bunch of flicker minded supporters. laugh.gif

Thats why I mention DOMESTIC. We overtake them 1 by 1, domestically first for starters.

Mass suicide would ensue..especially since they cling to that title for so long. In europe, they are nothing compare to RM and Milan. What is left for them to be? laugh.gif

^so true...john terry's miss should be in the top 3...

If my memory serves me, David Batty's WC penalty miss against Argentina in '98 also cost Engulaan the quarter finals spot...Perhpas not as important, but I was celebrating Argentina's progress.....But not for long when Bergkamp scored a wundaful goal, best goal of that WC to me laugh.gif
