I too think Evans and O Shea should make it through. I'm worried with Rafael at the back. The bugger needs to be disciplined on Tuesday if he does play.

I'd definitely go with

O Shea-Ferdinand-Evans-Evra

Personal opinion is Evans will make it and O Shea on the bench but if God, both are fit, please don't play Rafael against Inter. This is by no means, losing faith in Rafael but I think O Shea will be better coped with Inter's personnel at hand especially in set pieces.

And while I understood why Evans partnered Ferdinand, I too felt that it didn't make any sense to risk one of our only fit TWO centre backs with Inter in mind. And given the way Vidic has been playing, he'd walk in any team. I'd have played Vidic today and in the Carling Cup finals.

I thought both Nani and Scholes thought the other was gonna deal with it.

Doubt we'd go for a result. With injuries in mind to key defenders and Rooney not entirely match fit (think Tevez will partner Berbatov), it could be a 0-0.

As long Milan 06 doesn't occur, I'm happy.

And when's 'next Wednesday?' Been waiting for it for 2 Wednesdays already.

With the shortage of fit players, we'd go 4-4-2. Just a question of which 4.

Park ALWAYS plays in big European games - no exception.

I don't blame Kuszchak. I find it hard to do so when:

1) Nani and Scholes didn't deal with it
2) Carrick was in lala-land

He did what I would have expected of him - narrowing the angle and standing up-body wide as long as he could but when against a player of Cruz's calibre, sometimes it makes you look silly.

Without the benefit of a replay, I'm pretty sure Carrick was nearest to Oojier after Scholes and Nani but was ball watching (like the rest of the defense). But then, why is Kuszchak the only one who's stupid when Nani gave the ball away, Scholes and Nani being gentlemenly over whom should clear the ball, the rest of the defense ball-watching? Because looking at your post, all 3 made mistakes but Kuszczak's the only one coming off as stupid.

It was a mess of a goal but again, as I mentioned, I don't blame Kuszczak. But again, if we were to point fingers, I'd point them at other players as well whom started the whole mess. It'd be interesting to see the opinions here if Rafael gave away the penalty. Would he be defended or hammered?

And I was mentioning Hargo in response to alien's post stating he could partner Ferdinand as a last resort. Nothing to do with Carrick's play.

P.S.: I don't like Kuszczak as our goalkeeper but I don't see how we could blame him.

Though I dont watch Serie A much but in the Champions League, when was the last time a Mourinho team has gone for the kill? I think it will be a drab 0-0 unless for set pieces.

I was thinking the same with Fabio at right back but his second game? Would go with Fletcher personally.

Ferguson has said that Evans has recovered from the injections so he's good to go for Sunday. Besides, he's played throughout the competition and it'd not be fair to rob him from a starting berth against Spurs. I just hope Vidic partners him for this game with Neville and Fabio on the flanks.
