Wan, you need to play as a goalie to think like Kuzzie.
I'll rush out as well for the ball(which end up goal by Santa Claus) In fact, goalie have to make decision instantly when there's breakaway/mistake(like the one Santa scored). With Ferdinand chasing after Santa , Kuzzie need to close the angle and reduce the chances but unfortunately, Kuzzie and Ferdinand doesn't communicate! Ferdinand and Kuzzie stupid clash if either one of them could be more vocal on it and who's doing what. And Ferdinand mistimed or failed tackled also done the damage partially as well. The whole defence+midfield are the one to be blame IMO. The ball watching is avoidable. Hope that goal wakes the defence up and such chances if given to Inter, be prepared to be slaughtered alive. Rafael is still weak. His venturing upfront is good but still his defensive needs to buck up.At times I was wondering was he defending or using his body just to shield off the opponent. Yesterday match shows how vulnerable our right side with the constant bombing of Rafael upfront. You give such options to team who utilise wing play and you're dead. |

FFS, this whole place seems to be a dreadful place when we lost a game. Get over it.
Oh wait, we did not lose. \O_o/ |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Feb 22 2009, 05:07 PM) Without the benefit of a replay, I'm pretty sure Carrick was nearest to Oojier after Scholes and Nani but was ball watching (like the rest of the defense). But then, why is Kuszchak the only one who's stupid when Nani gave the ball away, Scholes and Nani being gentlemenly over whom should clear the ball, the rest of the defense ball-watching? Because looking at your post, all 3 made mistakes but Kuszczak's the only one coming off as stupid. I'm not blaming him, but I think his decision making should be better, but perhaps you can blame it on lack of fitness. Scholes and Nani is the culprit, but why the hell is Carrick in the picture? I might be harsh on Nani (perhaps the reason I'm not a big fan of him), he rarely track back, not only that occasion. He was clearly nearest to the ball, yet he want he gave up the ball to Scholes which he hope can give him back for a fast break (i think). And for god's sake, he thought Scholes in his 20s, and he just played in midweek as well. Asking him to sprint at that distance is asking too much, especially he's not known for his speed even when was young. It was a mess of a goal but again, as I mentioned, I don't blame Kuszczak. But again, if we were to point fingers, I'd point them at other players as well whom started the whole mess. It'd be interesting to see the opinions here if Rafael gave away the penalty. Would he be defended or hammered? And I was mentioning Hargo in response to alien's post stating he could partner Ferdinand as a last resort. Nothing to do with Carrick's play. P.S.: I don't like Kuszczak as our goalkeeper but I don't see how we could blame him. |

QUOTE(shortleg88 @ Feb 22 2009, 03:18 PM) he did well against Fulham attacking and defensive wise, think he play better at RB it's not SAF...it's Fletcher beat Mourinho.did SAF actually beat him? But Ferdinand is pushing him wide, that would narrow his angle of shot, he would not have an empty net to aim for if Kuszczak had not rushed out yeah...that's one time....draw few and lost quite a few to Jose |

Enough guys. I think apart from Rooney everybody had a bad game yesterday, only one, one bad game this year. At least look at the bright side, we won. Job done for this week.

Talking about Rooney, I think yesterday was the 1st time after a long time that he is taking a few shots/attempts outside the box? Did get close for a few of them.

Let's just say IF worst case scenario where none of JOS (heel)/Brown (?)/Evans (ankle) fit in time, how should we lineup the defense? Bear in mind that Gary is out against Inter Milan as well. Unless we gamble on Rafael as RB else:
Fletcher - Rio - ? - Evra QUOTE Sir Alex will face a serious selection dilemma should Jonny Evans be ruled out of United’s Champions League clash with Inter Milan on Tuesday. The young defender limped off against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday evening with a reccurrence of a recent ankle injury. “It’s a bit sore,” Evans told MUTV after the final whistle. “I kicked the ground when I tried to make a long clearance and now it’s a bit tender. “I don’t know [if I’ll be ready for Tuesday’s game]. The doctor said he’d have a look at it on Sunday. We’ll have a better idea then.” The Reds were always going to face the Italian champions without the suspended Nemanja Vidic, but Sir Alex was counting on Evans to plug that gap. Gary Neville and Wes Brown are also out injured, further curtailing the manager’s options in the centre of defence. “We’ve got some injury issues,” the boss told Setanta Sports. “I just hope I can get two centre-halves fit for the match. At the moment it’s doubtful. “I’m hoping I’ll have John O’Shea fit as I won’t have Vidic, Neville or Brown either.” O’Shea injured his heel against Fulham last Wednesday but if neither he nor Evans is fit for Tuesday, the boss could be forced to emply unconventional measures. Unconventional measures? This post has been edited by alien2003: Feb 22 2009, 06:54 PM |

There's no option. Fletcher - Rio - Evra - Rafael But, SAF has lots of mind games, so Brown's gonna start. |

I mean a center back issue.Fletcher - Rio - ? - Evra But i have a strong feeling either Evan or Brown will make it. |
