So Digi is not spared by international link problems. Looks like a lot of services rely on these links (I mean of course, otherwise how do we connect to international websites). I am generally having problems with uploading be it email attachments or uploading pictures on youtube. And no, I don't use BT unless no choice tongue.gif

Its weird, some applications are slow while the others doesn't seem to be affected at all. adslgorou is right, we should do some traceroute. Probably some applications are routed on a different 'link'.

Do a traceroute test and you can identify the bottleneck....

I think the whole region goes hay-wire with the 2 sea cables cut.

A notification to those who are using the Aztech HW550-3G HSPA Router, there's a new firmware release (version 201.106.1-037) which has added support for more 3G USB modems. Also it seem to have fix a problem with the previous release. With the old firmware, my router would slow down over extended periods of time (when in HSPA internet mode). I had to reset it every now and then when my I feel the internet speed has deteriorated. Upload speeds are horrible when the router has slowed down.

After deploying this new firmware, the performance is more consistent. Bear in mind that this has nothing to do with recent Digi slowdowns (especially uploading @ certain applications) cause I had my own account (not connected to router) for verification.

My location is near Bandar Tun Razak too (Taman Midah), hopefully this maintenance will improve our service.

i have just registered Explore plan at Low Yat today.
They are still promote the Explore RM88/month. Unlimited usage like PC fair.
Anyway 10G quota monthly is not my problem, but i will see how if i really exceed 10G. I always not 100% trust the promoter.
It's come with free modem.

Apply 2pm, back to house around 3pm, can use already. rclxms.gif

My house already got 1MB streamyx, this is just my option if i go outside.

Average DIGI broadband speedtest can get 1Mb/s.
upload also not bad.
11 Floor, Desa Sri Puteri, Desa Petaling.
Raining just now also can get 1 Mb.
Youtube running smooth.

Tomorrow i will use it at my office at USJ 21 to see the result.

got problem here. my connection always got terminated after a few hours of surfing (5 -6 hours). but when I try to reconnect, this error pop-up -> error 1722 : rpc server is unavailable.

dunno how to solve, current solution is to restart the pc. just wondering what the causes. modem or the connection/coverage itself?..

As i told by the promoter, i also sign up yesterday at Low Yat roadshow.
RM88 explore with free modem.
She said if i terminate next month or later, i have to pay RM15/month for the modem. If like this it quite ok for me because it only cost RM180 ( RM15x12 )
so if next month i want to cancel, i will pay for RM15x11 month
( dont forget your upfront payment RM100. )

But i'm not sure if got any other termination fees or not.

Unluckly this area don't have 3G coverage, show only EDGE signal when connected.

Reported at USJ21/8.

shouldnt you guys be getting 3.6mbps (download @ 700kbps as per advertised) ? if it's capped at 1mbps then i guess its no point moving from streamyx 1mbps.. i dont have problem with my streamyx.

streamyx 4mbps port is still unavailable at my place therefore im looking at digi as an alternative solution..
