i have just registered Explore plan at Low Yat today.
They are still promote the Explore RM88/month. Unlimited usage like PC fair.
Anyway 10G quota monthly is not my problem, but i will see how if i really exceed 10G. I always not 100% trust the promoter.
It's come with free modem.

Apply 2pm, back to house around 3pm, can use already. rclxms.gif

My house already got 1MB streamyx, this is just my option if i go outside.

Average DIGI broadband speedtest can get 1Mb/s.
upload also not bad.
11 Floor, Desa Sri Puteri, Desa Petaling.
Raining just now also can get 1 Mb.
Youtube running smooth.

Tomorrow i will use it at my office at USJ 21 to see the result.

Guys sorry if repost...

i have subscribed to rm88 pc fair promotional package? is that modem is free? if i want stop use dg bb can i just cancel like tat without paying any modem fee
*
As i told by the promoter, i also sign up yesterday at Low Yat roadshow.
RM88 explore with free modem.
She said if i terminate next month or later, i have to pay RM15/month for the modem. If like this it quite ok for me because it only cost RM180 ( RM15x12 )
so if next month i want to cancel, i will pay for RM15x11 month
( dont forget your upfront payment RM100. )

But i'm not sure if got any other termination fees or not.

Unluckly this area don't have 3G coverage, show only EDGE signal when connected.

Reported at USJ21/8.

YES, if your in 3G coverage, you should get the HSDPA signal.
Unless you are in between that area.
Or you are in your room where in the apartment may cause the signal drop.
1 or 2 storey house shoudn't got this problem.

that day i tried wit my fren modem....whic is vodafone...it show speed up 7.6mbps... but the modem that dg offer is Huawei one ..whic is 3.6mbps...does it make any difrence interm of speed that v gettin?
*
i got 2 modem, 1 is huawei E220 bought it myself. ( 7.2mbps )
another 1 is E160 come with digi explore package. ( 3.6Mbps )

I will try both later.

I was told by the promoter, the extreme come with different modem ( 7.2Mpbs ).
I think this modem can get better upload speed.

If you can get 2Mbps consider very good already.
I only can get 1Mpbs at my house at 11 floor.
I will try it later at ground floor.

That's the termination fee.. nothing else.

BTW, your EDGE looks good. Better than Celcom's 384kbps...

Added on August 17, 2009, 9:00 pm
The only thing is, you would never get Streamyx to perform that well... If they had, mobile bb players would just have to pack up...
*
my office got celcom 384k also, can get around 0.3Mb, better than digi edge.

explore
but digi said likely average 700kpbs, but theoretical can get up to 3.6Mpbs.
I'm also waiting is there other user can reach this speed or not.
For me 1Mpbs stable is perfect. 2Mpbs is bonus, 3Mpbs is fantastic!

http://www.digi.com.my/broadband/packages_...on_explore.html

this is my latest speed.

There is a long cable. Check the box. It's just behind the place modem is placed. If dun have then maybe they missed it when packaging. Lolz
*
E160E only provide extension cable ( male to female ).

I got 2 modems, 1 is E160 free by digi, 1 is huawei E220 my own modem.
E160 is usb stick, or you may use the extension cable.

E220 cable got "2 head" . Tested if pluging 2 head usb together to computer, speed no different.

Added on August 19, 2009, 10:07 amif today i going to apply for digi 3g..can i get it immediately?
*
you all should fill up the interest here.
http://www.digi.com.my/broadband/UserDetailView.do

Mine sign up at road show, 1 hour after back to home can use already.
Promoter photostat my IC, and checked no blacklist. Tell me after 2 hour. Max 24 hrs.

So if your name no blacklisted, you will get it today.

Depends where you sign up. Digi Center should be fatest.

Also if you want to call Digi to ask, call broadband helpline 016-299 3333 / 1800 68 3333
That day the promoter didn't give me the sim card number ( phone number ), so i'm not able to register OCS online.
Then i call Digi ( 016-221 1800 ), they don't have my record. Finally i realized i need to call broadband helpline, not digi normal helpline.

hi, i'm curious on DiGi's Extreme package:

user posted image

Monthly payment = RM188

But i don't understand the "Usage Volume" = Max usage and charges capped at RM188. <-- what does it mean? What's the *actual* volume before capping? what's the charges after being capped? blink.gif
*
RM188 - 20G, after 20G, still no charge but they will limit your speed. You will not able to get full speed of 2Mpbs.

i got another questions on the capping calculations:

Discover - RM58 - capped 3GB
Explore - RM108 - capped 10GB

for both, if i use more, it'll be RM0.05/10MB .. .but capped at RM138.

so, my question is: Does this capped amount at RM138 inclusive of the monthly fee (RM58/108)?
*
yes. If you are heavy downloader, better use streamyx, unlimited.
I'm using Explore package, average daily use about 100Mb. So monthly only around 3Gb.
So i'm no worried about this.

My Explore only RM88
10Gb, after 10Gb no charge ( unlimited ), sign up at road show last week.
I will try to use more to see how.....

Right now they are having promo packages almost every weekend. After I checked with their CS, the promo packages does not charge for the extra usages.

I used to subscribe to the Explore plan quite a while back and I realise that DiGi does not really charge the additional usages anymore!!! Wooo Hoooo.....

Check your August bill guys!!!!

I think they have taken out the additional charges to compete with the rest!!!

Viva La DiGi!!!
*
Have you use quota over 10Gb ? How about the speed after 10Gb?

i think the coverage map from digi website is quite accurate, my office location is USJ 21/8, not in their map coverage, so only can get EDGE.
So find it yourself, you should get at least 1Mpbs if got 3G coverage.

I'm also want to know what package "seperlinky" using now.
it should extreme package... i have never got my explore reach that high speed...

Digi BB is doing a promotion in Queensbay PG now... RM78 for Explore package (free modem)... the booth is near McDonald (LG floor).

Note: RM78 for first year only... no extra charges after 10GB but speed will be throttled to EDGE only. Hence, they claim it as unlimited... Remember, it's not a true unlimited (LYA 700kbps unlimited), it's unlimited browsing with throttle speed...
*
oh, my explore is RM88 at KL roadshow, now penang cheaper.... vmad.gif

anyway tomorrow i will go to Penang for my Merdeka holiday.
I will bring my Digi bb along, will test from Tanjung Bungah hotel, and Cititel, penang road.

But at my office ( USJ 21) look very bad, previously i'm still able to get HSDPA speed even no 3G coverage. But even EDGE signal full bar, loading page also slow.
