Aresz,
It’s a (very) long shot in your case.
Rather than wasting away your effort and time, why not enroll straight into TAME program?
Hint: There's one coming up in January from the low cost career..
*
jazzy,

I wish to enroll straight into TAME program, but I like to learn from basics. Ya, kinda wasting time.
Is it true on january? Is it from MAS? well, i don't bother about the salary by the way. just want to find a secure job for my future as the factory is now unstable..
5 years from now, i think 2-3k per month is still enough(hope so). right now, i live myself alone, no family. no debts. don't have car.

can you provide some tips regarding this TJT? what should I prepare for it..

thanks.

pall33x,

sorry, im using my friend's account. i am a guy smile.gif
yes i think i got the passion and brain. but im not sure which route to take.
Im not intend to enter MIAT or any other college(i have already diploma). I just want to join the academy by hoping they will hire me as part of the crew.
Nowdays, i understand that without 'inside person (so called cable)' can't easily enter this academy. well, i will put my luck a test.
doesn't matter for me to start from trainee, i got 9 years till age of 30, need to start from now. just glad to hear that TJT can also be LAE's one day. rite?
can someone clarify on it?

thanks guys..

from jazzy's statement, "low cost carrier" i assume the tame program is from Air Asia
if you enroll in a tame program, you will be starting from basic as well
during the training or calles as OJT, you will work together with the junior technician (JT)
meaning you will do what a jt will do

if you become jt first, once in a while there will be a program which upgrades jt to become lae
you have to find your opportunity to enter the program
im talking about MAS
but if you enroll as a JT first, make sure you dont lose momentum to study,
cause once you'll become a jt and get the pay, you will be tempted to do OT and gain more money rather than getting ur license
in the end, the best way is still to enroll in a tame program, eventhough the training period kinda sucks in term of money and ranking

o.O, hmm so let me talk and see. Just that what I know and the people who told me. I mean real guy working inside. Not I want to say the bad about but maybe that the truth, and not I call you do not join.

If you say aviation is stable, I can't 100% sure because the situation we do not know. You work as the job for 10 to 20 years sudden bankrupt, where you want to work? lol

So 5 years from now, 2 to 3k? If you be jr.tech, yeah you can have 3k/month but no life. Just pass few days, a guy told us that his salary is 3k and that is going to it limit, work almost 7 days a week because mas you normal working is 6 days. And OT only will get you that 3k. So sorry to say no life.

Regarding the TJT, I also talked with a guy just be jr.tech from trainee jr.tech last week. He told me all about it. So you want to know right? here you are:
First is you must follow what they need there and went to there. He told me that when he went to the session, there is 2 session and one hold 800 people, so total is 1600 people. There will be test like IQ. Test about directions, Add math English IQ and blablabla i forgot edi. I think is something like that, than 2nd is the interview as you will be noticed if you passed the first exam. About a month they will call you back to MAA and interview. That time he said 6 to 1, got GM, Formen and blablabla forgot edi. So waiting for results also about a month and than if passed also, will send you an agreement. Hmm the body check I forgot at which part edi. Just briefly tell you lah, if not you 101% donno what going on. If get edi than one day will come to MAS training school threathreat i think than you got what question you ask.

Haha about cable you are right. Nothing much to say over here.

TJT to LAE. If you get TJT and you want to be LAE as fast as possible, can, no problem, it depends.
If you get hangar side TJT, no problems at all. Straight collect your work schedule and head to LAE.
If you are workshop, sorry to say. If abit kind of hard to do . Not I mean cannot lah. Can. If you get the workshop that you do not want what you can do? run away ? because after you signed your agreement than only they will you another to sign for which workshop you go. If you dont like and you have money than you can break the contract, about 80 to 90k must pay back. The guy who just be JT who told me all this said if the bond is 10 to 20k he still can pay and look for his future but is 80 to 90k. And the bond is 7 years include TJT. One of the fast method is when you are in TJT after working hours, than you must went to the hangar to do your OJT collect your work schedule. When you become JT, you want to OT to collect money ot go to the hangar and do OJT? This is the hardest part in the whole journey to go. As azameel said that if you can keep on than sure can. Mix with the other will bring you down, because they come and and work for money. Just a small numbers of people done that, because is a hard way.

So as i said, wait for TAME. The end.
Haha I posted at my blog than only talk over here again lol.

Someone told me that (when going for OJT) it's better and faster to collect and complete your work schedule in MAS Subang rather than KLIA. Because Subang is where all the heavy maintenance are being done. So it's best to go over there if you wanna collect work schedule instead of the front-line KLIA. Do you guys from MAS concur to this?

On another note, does anyone know anything about Air Atlanta in KLIA?

Thanks bro. but I think I still want to try the interview in order to let me be prepare for the TAME program later. Atleast, I got something from the interview though accepted or not. geez, now in dilemma. lol.

JohnMax,

Thanks for the clarifications as well. nice one. now my head so clear. smile.gif
Well, obviously you manage to make me think twice on accepting the TJT. haha. Now im at junction. don't know what is the best options. I think myself suit for TJT, not LAE. -.-" as i am not so clever loh.
by the way, I think I still want to try the interview, I never gone for interview with IQ questions before lol.. need to get used to it.

can you provide me some 'soalan bocor' or not? haha.. sample of questions also will do. and do have any tips to tackle the interviewer?

thanks in advance guys. great explanation for noobies like me.

If I got to do a check at hangar 4 I try to ask more for you. Is a long way to walk from the guard house to hangar 4 you know. You can't even see the gate....

I see. So most girls for avionics because they do have the brains for it.

I guess for most airframe/mechanical or powerplant guys avionics are just headaches and they tend to avoid it. lol But nonetheless, they still have to know the basics. Coz in certain situations they still have to interact with avionics, like when performing BITE test for example. Plus, most aircraft systems nowadays are based on electronics.

I also must agree with you. if you are a average family, if not direct join tame than you have no way to get in than go college with $$$.

Aviation is really interesting, but if you can achieved your goal. hehe

If u want cheap (I mean really cheap), u can study on ur own and just take the 13module paper. Each paper cost rm400.

Probably, u might need to resit many time.. is real hard. And u'll have problem in finding reading source since u dun go to sch and gv u a textbook.

Just done my 1st sem and 4 EASA module, real hard if u nvr study.. quite hard if u study hard tongue.gif

By the way, John.. i thougt u're doing msia airline TAME prog?
