MAS TAME got 2 lines ka? what is da difren between workshop people n hangar people?
*
MAS TAME will be A&C (Mechanical) thread and EIR (Avionic) thread.

The different between workshop people and hangar people will be workshop people will work in the workshop and hangar people will work in the hangar. Both working with live aircraft parts, components, etc. To collect your work schedule, must be at hangar. Because there only will have LAE.
Workshop focus to the items only. Hangar will move around the aircraft.

how much is the pay for the hr. technician in MAS for the first five year bond, scare too low and cant survive my commitment.
*
The basic is around RM1300 plus. It depend on your allowances also. e.g. technical allowance, chemicals, etc. You must have OT also for that only can get more money. If your work is good constant, something like that for MAS, salary will increase 5% i think per year. lol this one must ask who really work inside as a staff...

Nope. Trainee Jr.Technician is TJT and Trainee Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is TAME.
After TJT you will be Jr.Tech.
After TAME you will be LAE/LAME, License Aircraft Engineer.

Two different route oh. Don't confuse.

Haha, that I waiting for. The TAME program. Wait for the TAME program open, that the only chance to join.
METC got open but for felda only... not public.
For MAS, rumors i heard long ago want to reopen but until now no sound also. blink.gif
Asked the supt inside they said maybe will not open anymore because there are so many college can provide such training. blink.gif

Donno which one is true... What we can do if want is just wait and see blush.gif

P/S: I also heard that TAME maybe need diploma only can enter, after SPM didt have edi. (That what I know but if want to know more must want for the program to open so we only can know.....)

the last two tame batches (called as amt, aircraft maintenance trainee) were all diploma holders
so if there are any other TAME or AMT intake, most probably they will require diploma holder

and for junior tech, once in a while there will be some program called mechanic development program (i forgot whether they called it mechanic,or junior tech development program or something else ) but that program will take one batch of junior tech and train them to become LAE. so if you are a junior tech, you can join the program

btw i've seen junior tech earning as much as 5-8k with maximum amount of overtime
but that is only possible with third party aircraft
but i dont think its possible now since the economy turndown where airlines are saving money

Job Description & Responbilities
Licensed Aircraft Engineer(LAE) job is to certify maintenance work, eg: a component is to be changed , u will have a group of mechanic working for u, you instruct them what to do, observe it, once it done u have to approve it, then if anything happen on that component or a/c crash due to that task u approve, they will look for you, you'll be held responsible.

I heard many cases of aircrashes are caused by components which crashed during flights, but what are the factors that makes components crash. If LAME follows the rulebook, will aircrashes still be imminent?

I also must agree with you. if you are a average family, if not direct join tame than you have no way to get in than go college with $$$.

Aviation is really interesting, but if you can achieved your goal. hehe

YEah, i been there before and asked all about EASA program. Well, there are loans provided by MARA and bumiputras only.. However, one of my friend starting this courses in MIAT already since this august intake. However, he said "he never seen any chinese in this EASA part66 in miat" .. Lecturers said there are few chinese came and asked about this before to me. Meanwhile, A few of them request n need loans only. But too bad, At the moment no loans for non bumiputras cry.gif .. Sigh !! I really hope someone could help us out of here.

Yeah,i agreed with u, as a hangar cleaner can become LAE too. smile.gif .. This is my team leader told me..hahaha.. Currently, this courses getting more more students. More students graduate and it more hard to get a job future. Eventhough, all of my colleagues are hope to go into MRO department and waiting calls by airlines and aircraft services companies. Good luck everybody..

Hi guys,

Need your kind advices here.

The TJT advertisement recently caught my attention on joining the maintenance crew. I have diploma in electronic and now work as a process engineer in a semiconductor factory..salary, basic rm1400. OT will get around 2.5k a month. work, 12 hours per day with 2 rest days a week.

Is it worthy to give a shot on TJT?
do one day I will become part of LAE's or not after joining TJT?
Am I in correct path? or should I wait the TAME program?
I think by that time I already 30++ smile.gif

Thanks in advance.

Aresz,
It’s a (very) long shot in your case.
Rather than wasting away your effort and time, why not enroll straight into TAME program?
Hint: There's one coming up in January from the low cost career..
