Any chance u know training school that offer b1.2 extension course?

I tried Dilog,APR,Admal - Apr only available end of this year. Trying to contact Mata and Miat, ni news yet.

I'm fine, busy as usual.

That is rare in malaysia for b1.2 extension

Just wondering. Where do airlines/companies send someone to for type rating courses once they have an LWTR. Does the airline/company conduct the courses themself or engineers are sent somewhere else?

- And if you are a CAAM LWTR engineers, where are they sent for type rating course?
- As well as EASA LWTR engineers, in Malaysia, Europe or elsewhere?

First of, I think you got it wrong. I believe you studied in Module 10 Air Legislation, that if you finished a "Part 66 training centre" course, you would require 5 years of experience before allowed to apply for an EASA LWTR.

Unless you went through a "Part 147 EASA Training Centre" (Eg: In Xiamen or Australia), then the work experience required would be 2 years. So for you my friend, 5 YEARS.

To roughly answer your questions based on what I know:
1. This depends on airlines. In KLIA, KLM has EASA approved engineers to maintain most foreign flights coming into Malaysia. Despite KLM only flying one B777 into Malaysia per day, they do maintain other foreign airline's planes. I don't know about other airlines tho, so far only KLM.

2. I guess you should take CAAM examinations too, complete their 13 modules and collect your working schedules. Try to get a CAAM license. But do continue taking EASA too, that's what I'm doing now.

3. My no.1 can sort of relate to this topic. But it's better you have both CAAM and EASA.

Airlines - in house
Companies like sae - in house
Small GA - depends on number of participant, if small overseas, if big group in house using other company who have obtained their 147 status.

Quick question,

Anybody pursuing EASA Part-66 Module examination papers for B1/B2 at
Malaysia Aviation Academy (MAvA), Malaysia?

Just need an idea of the fee structure per exam paper.

How many young souls here already acquire company authorizations here? Hehe
