QUOTE(cyn2589 @ Mar 26 2009, 01:18 PM) i was wondering if there is any shops around kl that offers jailbreaking/unlocking or updating itouch? because i dont have a stable internet connection at all and i'm a noob at all this... and the people at the apple shop said they cant do it for me because i'm using windows... i cant really help but dude, seriously u gonna have a hard life if u dont have internet for this stuff.my only advise, download the firmware from other website from cyber cafe or frens house, same goes with jailbreaking software, then take home and do it with ur own pc.its not really hard.lots of guides available here in LYN.

Uh? POSIX error? I had that error on Safari downloads when i installed a download manager (which stored itself in the startup folder). I deleted it, rebooted, and it was all good again.

Depends on what tool you're going to be using really. For example, QuickFreedom users do not need to do anything on the iPod Touch except connecting it, and booting it into DFU mode. Don't worry, if anything goes wrong during the jailbreak, you can always connect your iPod Touch to iTunes, and restore it. No biggie

This is untethered jailbreak, so you can boot your ipod touch after restart.

The are untethered jailbreak and tethered jailbreak. I dun wanna explain coz it will confuse you. Just download quickfreedom and start jailbreaking. Yes, after restart still jailbroken.
