Err... Tethered means you have to boot from the computer everytime.
Semi-tethered means you can boot your ipod touch without connecting to computer, but all jailbreak app will be disabled(super unstable)
untethered means you dont need to connect to computer to boot, just like ipod touch first gen and iphones.

Now still dont have untethered version jailbreak for ipod touch 2nd gen.

i was wondering if there is any shops around kl that offers jailbreaking/unlocking or updating itouch?
because i dont have a stable internet connection at all and i'm a noob at all this...
and the people at the apple shop said they cant do it for me because i'm using windows...

i cant really help but dude, seriously u gonna have a hard life if u dont have internet for this stuff.my only advise, download the firmware from other website from cyber cafe or frens house, same goes with jailbreaking software, then take home and do it with ur own pc.its not really hard.lots of guides available here in LYN.

i've read about redtool.seems like it can change boot logo without re-jb.does that means it serve the same purpose as quickfreedom 1.2?

I've been using my ipod touch 2g 16bg quite frequent lately... as i've notice, the battery life spending as it saids could last over about 4hours and it's better than 1g...but i've notice one thing, if i play any games non stop about 1 hour 45minutes, the it notice me battery low under 20%... and if keep on playing, it would end on 10% for the next 15minutes... and close up after a few 15 seconds.... any problem with u guys same as mine? i've google it and i found out alot oversea owner have the same issue.... im wondering is it my JB problem making it dry faster or what.... before JB i also have this battery life problem, but i dunno cause i didnt notice how long i play...but quite fast....i need to charge my ipod everyday that makes the long travel distance lack of fun when there's no battery already...so i just cant do anything if i dont have a charger or a plug to put one...im using the usb hub to charge my ipod currently...i dont think its a problem... please, i need to know so i can redeem it before the warranty i guess... sad.gif

bro.seriously, thats normal.its not even a gaming console.the games itself just act as bored busters, not to act as dedicatd gaming console.if u wanna test the battery, try play songs non stop and see how long the battery last.for me,i can get to 35 hours withouth any prob.

Try connect to usb, and on your ipod touch. If cant, hold home and power for few seconds. Coz sometimes ipod touch will hang in standby mode(even virgin ipod touch too)

i just went to switch at penang, and claim warranty for my ipod.n they saw a pink indicator(it will turn pink if it hits water) in the audio jack port, meaning im being suspect in soaking my ipod to get warranty.when apple see it,my warranty wont be valid, although the problem arise have nothing to do with water or any sort of it.so the staff say she will try to talk to apple bout it.seriously,in my opinion, the indicator is rather ineffective in securing the probability of people cheat in claiming warranty.i mean, the indicator can hit water in many cases,my sweat,my sweat on the audio jack of my earphone n it hit it when i plug the audio jack in,and invisible shield's spray which i need to apply when putting it on.n others.i mean,i kinda like a victim of the sensitiveness of the indicator.it may have turn pink like months ago, maybe on the 3rd day i bought the ipod.my ipod fault because it cannot turn on,got nothing to do with water.anyway, all i can do is pray....just wanna share with u all.take care ur audio jack port.
