My HDD temperature increased a little after the firmware update, roughly around 2C to 3C. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

QUOTE(vincent_on9 @ Jan 23 2009, 02:26 PM) i just bought myself a seagate 500gb few days back,,without knowing this news. And now the original firmware of my seagate is SD1A, so i need not update anything rite? I don't think so, there has been like at least 3 revision of the same firmware with the code 'SD1A'. |

QUOTE(cyew86 @ Jan 24 2009, 03:29 PM) It was almost completely silent before I update it's firmware. Now this hard disk is louder when it reads or write. You probably didn't notice it cause your casing is further. I put my casing on the table next to the monitor. |
