Guyz,need some rough estimation..

Going to service the car tmrw(minor),change timing belt,all 4 absorbers..rm 1k enough??

I already accumulate 3 problems with the power window:

1) the motor 'kong' - 1 1/2 years after purchase
Synthoms:Windows not moving at all..lucky it happens when the window is closed.
2) power windows button - 3 years after purchase
Synthoms:Windows moving down only. Can't wind up. Click down still can hear motor is working.Very unlcky if this happens.
3) window regulator - 5 years after purchase
Synthoms:Windows moving down smoothly, but winding up stuck. So need to slowly wind up and down abeit again and up, holding the windows in order to full upwind and close the window.

This all happens to the driver side. And i advice you to go directly to parts shop to get the replacement. If not for sure get 'sembelih'..

Maybe need to spare for extra RM100-200

Absorber whole set (KYB)=Around RM600
Timing belts=Around 300
Oils+Filter (Semi Syc) = Around RM120

is that for plastic power window or metal one?

not only driver side, but co-driver side as well.

Original Proton is using plastic. So it happen for the plastic regulator.

At the part shop also selling both type. But still i prefer plastic due to the weight which is much lighter than metal type. And i doubt the metal scissor could stand long as the gear also could wear off.

Better spare some more, in case you inhaled some poison there like adjustable abs.

Need some advice as im planning to get a 2nd Waja (preferably below RM40k). Now spoilt on choices between Campro (non CPS) or 4G18 or Mivec..

Which is a better option? I prefer a N/A car but got some power (mixture of city driving and highway) and in the same time can get good FC (6 liter-7 liter /100km). Btw, i want to get Manual Tranny...dun like Auto..

From what i know Non CPS campro has torque dip issue and it is a high revving engine and 4G18 is more suitable for city driving for the low torque...please correct me if i am wrong..

well atleast it last longer than the plastics. sometimes hearing the "tok tok tok" sound coming from the power windows syok oso

Mivec = 4G92 and NA right?

Hard to get one that is nicely done nowadays but just wondering bout this engines reliability, maintainance and FC?

Planning to fish around for Waja 05' @ RM32k and use the extra 8k to do some necessary modifications

Perhaps changing the throttle body, exhaust system and do port & polish to the engine would improve the performance..any other suggestions??

If say you have 8k of modding engine, might else get a good condition Campro Waja, and head towards Glenmarie for Turbo/Supercharger bolt-on.

For Waja 4G18, you can done engine modding as what you did say. Trottle body can use Evo4..i did that
