As for me, Maybank is above average since I don't perform substantial OTC transactions.

QUOTE(klutch @ Dec 1 2008, 08:06 PM) yah..me too.. i simply think i got no probs ever with maybank..maybe this hackwire guy is "too hard to be satisfy" lol I got a very bad experience in Maybank Jln Yong Shook Lin during banking hours a few years ago.. not on the people service but the Cash Deposit Machine. When I was depositing RM2k, the 1st 1k went in without any problems but one of my note was crumpled.. so it was rejected. When I tried to cancel and re-deposit again, the maching hung. I went inside to complain and said they will check the machine and let me know after they tally with their daily accounts.Next day I went they said there was no irregularity.. I was damn dissapointed.. how can the machine swallow RM1k and somemore showed no irregularity? I suspected that the person who opened the ATM machine simply took the cash, since there was no record on the transaction. Until today I have some phobia using CDM. I know to some people RM1k is very little but at that time it was my hard earned money. * On another note.. I still find most of our bank's front staff lacking in friendliness.. when I was in Australia every bank that I went to greeted their customers with a nice smile and 'g'day.. how're u today?' but in Malaysia mostly muka masam. just went to EON Bank to deposit some cash...
I tried to bank in about rm4000, but some of my rm50 notes were rejected... so i tried to get some money from the atm, and tried to bank in using the rm50 from the atm but still got rejected... This post has been edited by matasura: Dec 1 2008, 08:19 PM |

Hi, I just wanna an opinion, and your personal experience, to know if i'm the only one experiencing ultra unreliable machines or is there many others, who have to made repeated trips to one bank just to get a chore over with?
As a typical working young-Malaysian, i have numerous banking chores to do every month after i get paid...these chores includes car loans, personal loans, housing loans, insurance, credit card debts, savings etc etc...i'm pretty sure alot of Malaysians like me, have the same rountine once they got paid every month... The list of banks i carry out transaction with every month (number of years i've been servicing the loan/debt): 1) Maybank - (>1yr) 2) Stan Chart - (>5yrs) 3) Citibank - (>7yrs) 4) Hong Leong Bank - (>3yrs) 5) Alliance Bank - (>5yrs) 6) CIMB - (>3yrs) 7) RHB (wife) - (>3yrs) 7) OCBC (wife) - (>3yrs) 8) HSBC (wife) (>5yrs) no less than 8 banks i have to go to every end of the month. That includes those i carried out on behalf of my wife. like many ppl, i normally carry out my banking transactions after work, so i don't have to be in the queue paying over the counter. And from the above listed banks i go to every month..HONG LEONG BANK is the WORSE of them all...their bloody Cash Deposit machine is CONSTANTLY 'Not Available' for past 3yrs i've been banking with HLB...and i think, about 80-85% of the time...the stupid bloody machine is down...worse of all, in most location, there's only 1 cash deposit machine, unlike so many other banks i've been to...i made a complaint to them a couple of years back...for the same reason...they sent me an email, and then someone from the bank actually called to assure me they will do something about it. about 1.5yrs later, they did...i made a complaint about the uptown branch, they upgraded the machines there, but nothing has changed...i still have to visit a few (at least 2 normally 3) HLB branch before i can find one machine that bloody works...most of the time..i'll give up after trying at 2 diff branch. Its just so not worth it and its BLOODY frustrating!!!!! yesterday, i was on the road for more than 2hours...going branch by branch...trying to make a bloody payment thru the machine. i was at A) Tmn Maluri branch - machine down B) Taman Midah branch in cheras - no Cash Deposit machine C) Tmn Connaught - no Cash Deposit machine D) Tmn Segar (leisure mall) - machine down Today, after work, A) Puchong Jaya - super duper long queue (cos only 1 machine) B) Tmn Taming Jaya - machine down WTF????!!! their machine down rate is truly unbeliveable...i go to so many banks every month, and HLB is the only giving these types of problems...i honestly do not understand why...cud it be they use outdated machines...machines that nobody wants...recond machines? or they simply make wrong mistakes all the time with their machines?? other banks, like Citibank, Stan Chart nvr give me such problems...the others, maybe twice its down in like 50 visits! but HLB?? Its like 5 times every 100 visits, WHEN ITS ACTUALLY WORKING!! Good news for me is that this will be my last payment to HLB...i'm so glad i won't ever have to deal with HLB's machines anymore i'm going to write a formal complaint letter to HLB, so i do need anyone here to give me feedback, if they also face similar problem with HLB or any other bank for that matter. I want to really write them a kaw kaw letter...send to one of the top management ppl and let them screw whoever maintaining the system up the ceiling... thanks for reading & feedback This post has been edited by daryl.k: Dec 1 2008, 11:39 PM |

Well, i think what we've got fed up of is not about the bank but the attitude of the individual employee of the bank.. It's the problem of the workers themselves.. Definitely every bank wants its employees to serve clients in the best way, however the bank can't control the employees' attitudes.. So, we shouldn't complain about which bank provides the lousiest service, but which employee has attitude problem..
And i really sympathise on those banks which their good reputations were pulled down by their "GOOD" employees.. The first one in my list certainly goes to stan chart, the globally well-known bank amongst all.. I was so surprised when i saw people complaining about stan chart in this thread... Ya, about the cash deposit machines - they are really sensitive.. sometimes even some new and nice notes still they reject.. and even though i hardly use the cash deposit machine, i dislike it because i'm worry about case like DannyOP's might happen.. Overall, i think that it's a matter of our luck to meet a banker with good attitude or a deposit machine which accept our notes without any problem.. QUOTE(keeseng12 @ Dec 2 2008, 07:56 AM) I've been having problem loggin into CIMBCLICKS lately.. it has been a week.. My colleague experienced the same thing.. I dun think the connection was the problem.. neither the browsers.. tried all browsers, IE, mozilla, nestcape, safari, chrome.. and end up having the same problem.. they had this big promo for cimbclicks, but too bad its not as good as it should be.. I'm not saying bout the functionality, but more to accessibility.. its really frustrating when after like 10 mins, u've been forced to log out when u're not even logged in.. Btw, i find maybank has a good online service so far.. Not much comments on their physical services coz didnt go to counters that often.. When it comes to human touch, most of the time there's probs associated with it.. The only thing i dun understand about maybank is, why they imposed to much fees for this and that, and the most absurd thing above all is when ure charged extra 50c when u've done 4 withdrawals fr the atm.. Hmm, I still feel Maybank is the worst. And many here mention Maybank is bad.
The service is slow, they are arrogant. And their online banking is killing time slow. |

After years and years of operating a bank, simple guideline also cannot follow... My money will go to this bank... 1) OCBC 2) Stan chart 3) PBB ...but also depend on the crowd.
