Hello all, just wanna share an experience and ask some question.
I just bought a LCD from low yat and it having some problem. On the day I bought that place don't seems have place to test so I thought it was like a supermarket so I thought it don't provide it. plus im kinda rush to get back to my office. Back to home and I found there are 2 dead pixels on the LCD. Second day, I bring back the LCD to the shop and too bad they don't allow me to exchange. I admit I have responsibility for not test the LCD before I go. But if the sales person had tell me they allow me to test it then I should have done it. sigh........ So...... MUST TEST EVERY PRODUCT U BUY FROM SHOP. QUOTE ViewSonic LCD desktop display products are warranted with our LCD Pixel Performance Guarantee. Through this limited warranty, you are guaranteed high-quality screen performance with no more than four (4) improperly operating pixels total and no more than three (3) bright or three (3) dark pixels. I copy this from view sonic website.I'm not that familiar with the technical words, does it means that there are 2 type of dead pixel? 1 is bright pixel and another 1 is dark pixel? so I need 3 same type of dead pixels to claim the warranty? e.g. 2 dark and 1 bright is not allowed for RMA? e.g. 2 bright and 1 dark is not allowed for RMA as well? can anyone enlighten me on this? |

![]() Green colour. ![]() 256 colour black and white test. ![]() Brightness test :white . ![]() Brightness test #2. The dynamic contrast mode was selected during the light leakage test , as u can see the result is very good. Conclusion: Compared to last year TOC series ,overally Samsung has made a lot of improvement for their lcd monitor no matter in design or image quality.Giving more stylish and luxury style ,this lcd is perfectly bring out personal taste. With the simple design , transparent stand, touch sensitive menu, glossy piano black , this lcd can easily match with ur room and ur furniture. The P2370's price should not be too high, certainly in time for the listing will give us a lot of surprises. Compared to this product, I still look forward to P2370L-market, LED backlight, after all, will replace the traditional CCFL. Source |

@xk2, have you tried the test image I've posted? Is there and visible banding on the lower half of the image (around the color transition to darker areas)?

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Feb 23 2009, 03:41 PM) And just because of that you call them what you called?HDMI - DVI adapters aplenty, what is there to complain. That thing looks sexy, though 50 000 : 1 Dynamic Contrast is just bullshit. What matters is the typical anyways |
