someone mentioned new generation of lcd like e ip or something like that...is it realistic to wait until then? will price comparable? or just grab the s2409 while offer last. btw, any chance will get even lower or similar offer from dell after 26th feb? With similar price range (rm 699) , what other monitor (23 or 24') do u guys recommend?

S2409 is the cheapest 24" at the price range rm699...Others brand selling 22" at this price...

for the same price range, you're only able to purchase Samsung 2333sw wide screen which is rm 685 and no HDMI input.

i would rather go buy rm10 speaker than using the monitor stock audio LOL

Dell S2409W is definitely a good buy if u allow ur budget at RM700...
in garage sales mayb can get it at Rm600 only^^

Agreed, with superb brightness. Design bezel is thin and not bulky. Most important is simple and elegant.

only complain is the stand not sturdy enough

hi for LCD is refresh rate big difference? does it mattter if 60 or 75 or 100?

i have tried to use higher refresh rate, it got flick then after that i use stock refresh rate@60.
No diff imo. juxt the flick thing, but beware, if you set refresh rate very high, say at 200 your monitor appear blank, this happen to my brother's PC

If you have money, go for Dell UltraSharp
If you r on budget, go for Dell S2409W, nothing can beat that now.. 24", HDMI...

JUST CALL dell ask about warranty...

please remember since this LCD is standalone(not with PC system) no service tag given n your call will be transfer to technical department.

give him/her ordering no. and Monitor ID (at the back of LCD white sticker) and ask him/her to update ownership info since many seller here make batch order under thier company.

he will ask for full name, fon no., IC no, Address, Ordering no and monitor ID.... after a while, he wil give u case no.

next time u call, just inform the case no n they will know the owner details!....

hahaha.... now can use this LCD happier than ever!

I called in and a guy nicely said I need the receipt's number (yeah, if you buy LCD alone, don't have service tag)
So, I called the seller and ask for receipt number and the buyer's name. But I guess, change name is safer...

actually the 1st operator ask me the receipt no. but i told her only got ordering no n monitor id. no receipt provided. she tried to trace by ordering no but no data available....and then he transfer my call to technical department. just give him those numbers n he tell me everything. and he also know about best buy from LYN! n many user call in ask about warranty!

today i went to pc shop looking around and i saw they display 24" Samsung T240. What can i say ...'love at 1st sight'. IMHO , the design is cool , nice and i love the LCD Height 18.8" but da...cost RM1k+ T.T. Out of budjet. Sad eh

Dude... I'm one of the Dell s2409w user and I can say to you that all my housemates were amazed on how good it performs when watching full HD movies.
I'm also using this monitor for gaming purposes. Games like COD4&5, Dead Space, BIA hell's highway, Crysis warhead, and NFS Undercover (off topic : stupid game) and i can assure that it never disappoint me in any possible way. Bought this LCD for RM700 (5 years warranty). Money well spent!~
