Hey guys, I have a question for all you runners out there. I'm sure not everyone has access to a 400m track to train on, so how do you mark out the distances that you intend to run or the distance that you ran?

Try out mapmyrun.com You will be able to map the running route and the distance.

For example, this is a 15k route

It's true nod.gif

When i train alone around me own housing area, i actually drive on the route beforehand to get rough est. on the distance
And besides though there be a little inaccuracy as due to the car's width(like a through a corner?) i knw i m for sure running a little more laugh.gif

When i do me LSDs, I run with experienced people so the distance is already known..

the possibilities are:

1) u have not fully recover fr Sat LSD
2) sometimes our body will react differently at times hence you feel rigid and heavy. quite normal. nothing to worry abt

try to just run shorter distance for the next couple of days, let ur body and legs rest, and build up the momentum again. as you said you have done nothing wrong and you are not sick (didnt take any antibiotics)

JML,  Adiprene shoes just do what you have mentioned.  But I think since ur shoes is 2004, the cushioning is dead (as you said).  You can used it for walking NOT running.  Your knee pain is probably due to the impact creating the pressure and goes up to your knee since the shoe is not absorbing it.  BTW which Adidas model you are using now.

The Jazz 12 is a neutral cushioning shoe, so if you are a normal arch and neutral runner then the model will fit well.  Its good to do a wet test if you are not too sure what kind of feet you are having.  Wet test ie go wet both your feet and step on a piece of newspaper.  From the water mark we are able to tell your foot type.  This will ensure you dont buy the wrong type of shoes.

If you are interested to try out Jazz 12 and other models, we can always meet on Sat at Lake Gardens and this have to be after the CNY holidays.  I can be contacted at 0193289083 or cchoi_2020@yahoo.com

Just thought of sharing a good video i stumbled on youtube. May seem simple but some may still be landing their feet wrongly.. like me tongue.gif

Yes, I injured my knee again yesterday but today seems okay. I landed too hard on the downhill. If my knees are okay, I'll try again on Friday

Anyway, the video:
