Hmm, is there one that can show temperature at the taskbar and also temperature ingame? Doesn't matter if it's freeware or pay to use.

The problem didn't come back
I also fixed my HDD's loud vibration-like noise... by poking it. |

Go for at least a 640gb becoz its no point you buy a small hdd and find that later you dont have enough space. The trusted brand for me is WD Mybook Home for external hdd, using 1tb my book home now... excellent QUOTE(malaysianbest @ Oct 13 2009, 02:49 PM) Right now! i am planning to buy an external hdd wit 1 TB capacity and the problem is don't know which is the best ? and some say you should buy BUFFALO DRIVE STATION 1TB POR HDD ! and i need your advice.... I don't think you should buy a Buffalo 1tb drives... becoz some ppl complain got problem and getting warranty for its is a pain in the ***Go for the Mybook 1tb new version, that 1 is around 400 something and its a new design |

So long never visited the hardisk thread...
Just got myself a 2TB Green WD and a Linksys NMH300 casing as a NAS to connect to my router. So there's one more slot in case I need more space. Still running my 3 x 750GB Spinpoint F1 in RAID 0. Really good drives. Would have gotten the Spinpoint again if not for the fact that I required more space. |

At least you should be able to replace one to one on the spot. Much better than waiting a few weeks for the RMA.

just got a new OEM Seagate today and it was the problematic 7200.11 drive but it came with the new SD1A firmware.
hope nothing bad happen though. sub RM180 for a 750gb is too much of a poison to me. |

Breaking in the new hard drive? Made a mistake and did a full format twice? It doesn't really matter as read/writes on platters is free and doesn't hurt the life span in any significant way. Doing a full format on SSDs twice otoh is just bad.

Also, does anyone know how much it cost for a media player 3.5' casing that can support up to 1TB?
