There is no CallerID Fix for 2.2 yet?

I might going to hold on for this ..
Is there any 3rd party Apps that is working in 2.1 but not working in 2.2 now?

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz, i have been trying to restore but keeping unknown error between ( 1) and ( 5 ),,, its between restore and dfu mode,

does anyone know on how to enter dfu mode/restore mode different from what bro davidgary mention in the first post.?

from cydia so far, all 2.1 works on 2.2 except CallerID.

OMG, TeK_KeN, i using firmware for iphone 2G......................... ...........din't see it crearly i was downloading firmware for 2G iphone...now downloading 3g firmware and hopefully can restore successfully, yes i using latest itunes..


will update it later when finish downloading, really hoping that those software make my iphoen cannot restore because im pretty sure i have enter restore and dfu mode successfully....

Hah! I think I finally managed to find the bug. After installing SwirlyMMS, verifying my license and rebooting the phone, my contacts and sms native apps cannot be launched successfully.

I'm just on my way out now and won't be back until prob midnight so if anyone can verify SwirlyMMS as the culprit, that'd be great. Uninstalling SwirlyMMS does not fix this.

callerid fix already released new version 1.1.6, but still wrong format. For Msia, it should +6 01 2345678 and not +60 1 2345678

I think I'll send the developers a notification of that error when I can tomorrow.

been using 2.2 FW for almost a day now...

much improvement...

1.safari got really fast (faster than my desktop)
2.sms just got better and faster
3.seems tht the voice at the other end when calling is improved (so much!)
4.quick respond
5.i dont know about u guys but i have kindda problem with youtube... wonder why arr??

since i did not put any themes yet...(its like original minus the blank apps...!!) i decided to put my hopes somewhere 1st, i want to see what happened whn i put on loads of apps and themes....

hahaha cant wait...!!

hi all.i just update to FW 2.2 and JB it.i just want to know how i can get back the apps that i installed from cydia previously.last time i've already backup using aptbackup.thanks.

I just found new error from my phone FW2.2...

- the sms didnt send out and but can receive.
- cant dial number to call. 1st number appear and follow by 2nd number hit, all numbers blank!.. Anybody has same problem with me? Maxis postpaid user...

My upgrade step,
- Download Only fw2.2 from itunes.
- open pwnagetool 2.2.1 and start do custom fw.(only add cydia & installer package & edit the boot image. the rest didnt touch anything.)
- Not do any DFU! (maybe I click "YES" for message "your iphone has been pwn bla bla bla"
- Start install custom fw by click "option" key + restore button from itunes.
- Install success and find OpenSSH from cydia and install fix caller id from cydia.

Just updated mine to 2.2 and JB. Now in process of downloading all that I lost from Cydia, themes, batteries, etc. etc. Rest is fine with backup. Note that 2.2 does not lag as bad as 2.1. Still playing with it. Thanks to all here who helps, Davidgary, Wilson, Nokia, etc, etc

Reinstall Aptbackup from Cydia, launch the app and restore...

i will only pwn my iphone 2G to 2.2 once the CallerID fix is out !

They're close in the CallerID thing. Apple change how the phone handle the caller id matching on 2.2. Those guys that responsible for the fix already understand how it works.

so no more in the dark trying to think which number is this or whos number is this?

thanks for replying my question.i've already reinstall Aptbackup from Cydia.When i click restore the message appear 'Reatore can only happen after a backup has been performed and the iPhone has been restored'.Did i miss something last time?
