zzzzzzzzzzzzzz, i have been trying to restore but keeping unknown error between ( 1) and ( 5 ),,, its between restore and dfu mode,

does anyone know on how to enter dfu mode/restore mode different from what bro davidgary mention in the first post.?

OMG, TeK_KeN, i using firmware for iphone 2G......................... ...........din't see it crearly i was downloading firmware for 2G iphone...now downloading 3g firmware and hopefully can restore successfully, yes i using latest itunes..


will update it later when finish downloading, really hoping that those software make my iphoen cannot restore because im pretty sure i have enter restore and dfu mode successfully....

better refund bro because you can get official unlocked version waround that price, and you will not get any headache when want to update the firmware later, just say that your phone cant be use because its a locked phone they selling to you not an official unlocked phone then if they dont want to refund say to them ypu will make a police report bla bla. and surely you will get your refund.

guys, my brother just come back from london and buy new iphone 8GB O2 but when im trying to update it comes with an error 1013, i suspect that the iphone is in NEWEST firmwARE thats y i got error when i restore to 2.2 firmware, so means that its 2.2.1 with latest firmware, fuh apple really update thier iphone into newest firmware and now this new iphone is a expensive ipod touch,

he bought it in oxford street in london and the iphone is in week production or 06 means around 15 February...

now i will try to downgrade and and see what it goes since i saw someone can actually downgrade it,


will update it later then.

yes, after downgrading it still in 2.30.03... anyway i strongly advice not to buy iphone from uk especially when the production is on week 06 and above, i believe apple have update thier iphone into new firmware and we can ONLY unlock it untill dev team release a solution for baseband 2.30.03..

Anyway make sure read clearly on how to unlock your iphone, if you want to use yellowsnow you ave to check ur phone firmware etc, trust me after some reading you will understanding much better on how to unlock it,

PLEASE make sure to read clearly and dont update anything before fully reading it, if you want to use yellowsnow make sure not to update to 2.2.1 directly ect, if not you will need to use turbo/rebel sim to do that.

erk..., my brother friend iphone 3G from UK set manufactured on feb 2009, conform its on 5.09 bootloader haha. hopefully there will be exploit where we can downgrade the iphone 3g with boot loader 5.09 or 6.02 next time,

AFAIK, all original firmware was from itunes, it's just a matter if you downoading it directly from itunes or download it from other link..

as for you iphone, you dont need to downgrade your firmware, just use the baseband downloader will do, just follow guide bro david told you and everything will be perfect then,

in order for yellowsn0w to work, it is a must to have baseband 2.28.00 and yellowsn0w will work, if you on 2.30.03 and use yellowsn0w it wont work eventhough you have install the yellowsn0w app into your iphone..hope your baseband is on 5.8 if not then you cant downgrade your baseband.


p/s: dont need to restore because you only downgrade the baseband only not the firmware. good luck and share the result with us ok..

lol, hehe, so it means that you cant downgrade your baseband "yet"...lets just hoping that geoHotz( the person who create the exploit) or his team do another miracles and who know maybe those on bootloader 6.02 also can downgrade their baseband.

Yup i second that. for optus aud120 needed to unlock the iphone and after pay the fee and called them to unlock it. need to wait around 10 days before it can be use with other sim card.

i believe all iphone can be jailbreak, if got issue when jailbreak means there are something not completed when doing the jailbreak, try again with the guide nokia told you and i think there should be no problem then because all iphone can be jailbreak.

there must be some software that make it stop working, try to download again the software then install it back, and try to goolgle maybe someone have same issue as you, i cant help mush because im using mac,

i have use singtel set and have been jailbreak it from 1st day got that iphone .. so far no problem (for me) when jailbreaking the iphone, those who have issue maybe some hardware problem ot etc,

there is no such thing if we jailbreak it we cant upgrade it because AFAIK if you restore it it will totally become new and can start restore jailbreaking etc again, trust me, its good to jailbreak the phone because we can use the iphone to the max capability .

no you cant, Gevey/turbo sim will needed.

just hoping that 2 or 3 months later dev team will have the solution to unlock it with new baseband

If you are willing to wait then i guess it should be ok, it will be able to unlock it in the future, just need to wait until new unlock method by dev team and there will be no such date when the unlock method will be release. the price of gevey/turbo sim around 120 to 150 RM.

i believe dev team will not do solution to unlock the 2.30 baseband, maybe there will use baseband starting from 4.22 since it for iphone OS 3.0 and OS 3.0 cannot use baseband 2.28 or 2.30 because its different from new baseband 4.22( PLEASE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG, HUHU )..
so i guess dev team will only do the unlocked method for 4.22 baseband ( please correct me if im wrong huhu...);;

your phone modem baseband must be in 2.28.00 in order for you to use the yellowsn0w. as long as its on the 2.28.00 it can be use with yellowsn0w, if not then you have to use turbo/gevey sim for you iphone.

bootloader does not effect on use of yellowsn0w app. it will only effect if you want to downgrade your modem baseband from 2.30.00 to 2.28.00 and it only works its bootloader 5.08 for the time being. if 5.09 and baseband is 2.30.00 means that it cant be downgrade.


so basically:

if 2.28.00<---- can use yellowsn0w.( even on firmware 2.2.1 or 2.2 or etc)
if 2.30.00<-----can't use yellowsn0w.

And

if 5.08 and baseband 2.30.00<---- can downgrade baseband to 2.28.00
if 5.09/6.03 and baseband 2.30.00 <-----cannot downgrade to 2.28.00

But

if 5.08 and baseband 2.28.00 <--- can directly use yellowsn0w to unlock it.
also 5.09/6.02 and baseband 2.28.00 <--- also can use yelowsn0w to unlock it.

yes, you still can buy app from apple store, jailbreak means you can access your inner iphone system, some kind like c: in computer. and with jailbreak you can do more with it.
