hmm... i dun think 4850 is very hot actually...
it is hot when the fan speed is set at a very low speed but with a higher speed, it would solve the problem.

Hmm, on the reference card, I've seen temps going above 80C at 100% fan speed on the Sapphire 4850. Pretty hot IMO when compared to those non ref coolers. + damn noisy.

Yep, mine goes all the way to 89C(HIS HD4850) when on full load with 100% fan speed. sweat.gif

I'm still using 17" monitor which is good since I no need to buy higher end GPU to play games at high res. A 512MB 4850 is good enough

512 enough.

1gb u'll notice little performance gain. but more significant in higher resolution.

by the time you play higher res, the gc itself cannot handle well already >.< but if 4870 then different story.

4850 i think best until 22inch la.. dunno also. Becos tried crysis above 1680x1050 all cpu bottleneck i think, all same score lolz.
