Normal clock means reference card? In that case, pick the cheapest or the longest warranty. They are all the same for reference cards.

But IMO you should go for those with their own cooling system, 4800 series is not exactly a very cool running card.

What is the spec of the HIS 4870 Turbo? OC-ed? or reference? I surfed around and saw the picture, seems to be running on a reference cooler instead of the ICEQ4.

Hard to say, but anyone with both cards can try it out?  rclxms.gif Though, make sure it isn't a one sided review  notworthy.gif

Well, because I saw most after market cooler is not utilize side blowing fan except for AKASA. But I might be wrong.

I personally think the cooler which blow to the side (IceQ4) is not that efficient compare to those blow both side (4850GS). Any thought?

i detached the cover of my 4850GS, then added a 12CM fan (not the kind of cooler master silent fan) blowing directly to it, idle temperature at around 46C.
in contrast to covered, about 5C lesser...
i think the cover is just for "decoration"...
btw, there is no ramsink and heatsink to cool power components for GS.

5C is a lot. Can post the setup? Blowing bottom to up or from side?
