QUOTE(surehit @ Sep 11 2008, 10:21 AM) Errr.... are u sure ka? 4670 performance near to 9600GSO(8800GS rebadge), but on par/beats 9600GSO at some cases with AA/AF is on.Cannot beat 9600GSO lar... see this: http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=579&card2=563 Lose to 9600GSO on mem bandwidth, pixel fill rate and texture fill rate. Coz 9600GSO is 192 bit with faster shader. Btw, I oso ATI fan but to be fair NV drivers more stable, and more games optimized for it. btw, HD4600 series was meant to compete 9500 series This post has been edited by pikacu: Sep 11 2008, 10:52 AM |

HD4670 still loses to HD3870 performance
but take note that : HD4670 does not use any power connector from psu, which makes upgrade PSU is not necessary |

what i mean is,
lets take HD4850 as example. u need at least ~500w PSU for ur system to run stable with HD4850, for those who have less than 500w psu need to upgrade.. but with HD4670, just stick with ur current PSU will do |

QUOTE(takercena @ Sep 11 2008, 07:55 PM) 9600 GSO is a newname for 8600GT. I don't know why people was 'fooled' by the new name since it is still the old core. Of course 9600GT will win in most benchmark by 5% - 10% but consider the price and the performance. 9600gt = RM 400. 4670 < RM 270. Now it's near 40% price cut!!!! nope, you are wrong...3 years ago 6800GS is real value from nvidia. Now ati release the super value. Btw, i never own ati card but the new nvidia name scheme is confusing me now 9600GSO is a newname aka rebadge of 8800GS , while 9500GT is rename/rebadge+overclocked 8600GT |

QUOTE(billytong @ Sep 12 2008, 10:16 AM) I am 100% pretty sure that 128bit memory controller is the major setback of 4600series. The 4600 series GPU spec is almost the same like the 3800series with some improvement + a half size memory controller which is 128bit. maybe in order to keep the low power consumption?I still dont get the idea of this? Pairing 4600series with 256bit could wipe out the 9600GT easily. If it is the cost matter, then at last play with 192bit. |

humm, two people problem with CRT 17" ...
try to email to ATI? maybe they got the solution.. Added on September 20, 2008, 11:28 am QUOTE(Punish @ Sep 20 2008, 03:18 AM) dow the 4670 can climb high ping...it also lost fps faster compare to 88gt....88gt can hold it at 70 while the 4670 only manage to get 55...in css offcuzz...the picture quality and detail in 4670 is obviously better than 88gt... This problem most likely due to driver not yet mature...the score for my 3dmark06 unregister is 8K..all default... GTG maybe hotfix will soon released / wait for CCC 8.10 This post has been edited by pikacu: Sep 20 2008, 11:28 AM |
