i am asking cos i own a cap ayam dvd player that supports .srt but it displays the subtitle badly, the words are small and the default font is uses is times new roman!!

off topic a bit - i might wanna sell my samsung dvd-H1080r ... could upconvert to 1080 via hdmi...and it has a very nice looking shape...like flying saucer It's quite new - still has about 10 mths warranty, already registered warranty online. PM me if anyone's interested ya... ...actually have a few dvd players already. bought this one before raya mainly coz I was so impressed with the groovy shape. Now after raya, a bit pokai and realised that i have too many dvd players already... hehe. So just thinking of selling this getting one with hdmi + mic input. anyways...bac to topic: any good offer for hdmi dvds anywhere now? feel like trying out pioneers or philips...

SAD to say, have anyone notice the BD players prices lately
i know tis is a DVD player thread, but BD player also play DVD right,
so WHY not consider??? if you dont play Bluray, also nevermind it certainly upscales any DVD better than a normal DVD player on HDMI

Yes, prices of BD players are falling but still not to a level where it is better to get a BDP than a DVDP. But, that day will definitely come

DVDP is definitely still much cheaper than BDP.
But BDP is more future proof at this point in time.
