any members of tis forum tested the pana S53 or 54 ??? wat say bout the JVC 650. Hmm!!!! no USB support only

Added on August 28, 2008, 11:46 pmActually tink of getting the Sony 708 to pair wth the Sony 50" KF 50E200A LCD projection set, i must admit i'm very fussy,i want the best for that particular range. i thing the 708 should match the LCD TV, but sad to say it doesnt have USB port.
Have anyone tested this partner, does the picture jerk when it does panning, when upscaled??
thanks

i've been looking for an average upconversion to HDMI player also. rclxub.gif

and to be frank, and its very true, recently a retail assistant told me...

if you are going to invest or already have a HD-DTS, True-HD..which perform analogue (component,s-video) signals upconvert to1080p HDMI receivers

you can just use back your old DVD players that has component (1st choice) or s-Video (2nd choice) and just let the receiver do the conversion to HDMI for you.

and if you dont have one yet and can on a higher budget

then get your hands on a BD player say... maybe sony 350 which is retailing for RM1499 as the Video/sound quality of BD player playing DVD is much better than an average RM400 DVD say sony 708,728, pioneer 410 or philips 3996 etc.

test it out unless you intend to get one DVD in the region of around RM700 ...the likes of Denon, marantz, maybe.......maybe the BD players might loose out only but not marginally.... then again.... read on...if you can catch what i trying to say

so the what say you all.....depends on individual preference........ save the few hundreds now....get a future full proof BD Player that accepts BD live, HD-DTS/True-HD 7.1 decoding (not LCPM) and prepare your self to the revolution of sight & sound for the future.

to support my statement blueray disk price coming down, at RM45... quality is even better that original DVD's ( so do you need RM700 DVD players) rclxm9.gif give it few months more and everyone will be smiling with their BD player investment. thumbup.gif

so take your pick HDMI DVD player or BD player............????????????

SAD to say, have anyone notice the BD players prices lately

i know tis is a DVD player thread, but BD player also play DVD right,

so WHY not consider??? if you dont play Bluray, also nevermind
it certainly upscales any DVD better than a normal DVD player on HDMI

alo alo guys......u all too fast in reply heheh biggrin.gif

anyway the BD come with lan port for you to connect to internet.....
the usb port is for you to plug in the thumbdrive for 2thing..

1)upgrade firmware
2)as hdd space to access bd-live(1gb min needed)
*
yup, thats correct!!!

wou, bro, you seems to know a lot about BD player biggrin.gif

Added on October 28, 2009, 11:01 pmlike i say, y DVD and not BD player????

if buy DVD player, how far you can go,

RM8-15 DVD or Original DVD's which is better??

Please bear in mind what you are missing, buy DVD player later want play BD need to buy again....

Do you know Uncle Ho's RM45 BD ( current rate ) is any time better that an Original DVD in terms of PQ and AQ !!!

In a couple of months..... if uncle ho's BD fall down to RM20 ???

do you still watch DVD then.... even if you do,
like i say the quality of DVD upscale playbackon BD Player is any time better than marantz/Denon DVD player costing RM700

so choose wisely.... DVD players are facing E.O.L.
