Not sure about the 3380K but I do know the 3388K aka King of Playability, can playback WMV,DivX, WMA and MP3. So, not really all formats.

However if you can put off the investment for a while, buying into a blu-ray player instead is better. Prices for BDP is coming down thumbup.gif

thanks. the price of bdp is going down. but its still too high for me now. plus im not really into the BD original movies yet. more using usb and dvds.

bdp players now is into war with brands competing with each other with newer features almost every 3 months.

while waiting for the clear winner, i think i will settle for a branded DVD player 1st.

Added on October 28, 2009, 1:19 amdo you know that the philips 3000 you bought is better ( if not at equivalent PQ ) with a Marantz/denon DVD costing around RM700.00

OMG!!! BDP for RM5XX This is so unbelieveable rclxms.gif

I was actually contemplating whether to replace my ancient DVDP or spend RM1,699 on a BDP (special offer for UOB cardmember doh.gif ) when I bump into this tread.

Is there a catch like limited time offer or only in Carrefour Labuan whistling.gif. There is a region code 3 though hence wondering whether can play 'Ahem' DVD or not?

If can then will drop by Carrefour and grab 1 this week-end. Better then buying a RM3xx DVDp icon_rolleyes.gif
