Only once the lens kaput and easily change by Sony Service. Anyway, where is that Sony Service Center near Damansara toll? Where do they move? Anybody knows?

Go with DV610 bro. Great PQ, USB, 1080P, SACD not to mention the price now is really good. Careful with Denon they got lip sync issue but the PQ is one of the best I've seen (based on my experience with 1930).

I second that got my DV-410 from them. Got ot below 500 but i know one of the sales person from previous purchases.

On another note, this is opposite to the thread here. I've got the DV410 but i need a second budget DVDP wih HDMI output. Any suggestions...

Get the model number and look at the web la. Better still bring a DTS encoded DVD and test.

Yep if you see logo "DTS Digital Out" then the player bitstream only. You need amp that can decode DTS (most new amp can). The player that can decode DTS usually got "DTS Digital Surround" logo. Anyway this don't apply to those cheap don't know what brand at Carrefour, Tesco or Mydin. That one can even put DTS-HD MA if they want laugh.gif

Dude I'm using same video setting as yours but I set mine at 1080p. I prefer component for color setting. Full RGB and RGB will make the picture darker which I don't like. Other setting I don't touch. All default. Even with default setting, the PQ is superior compared to Philip 5986k so that's why I never bother to tweak further.

Yep totally. If u want to feel better, I bought mine at 850 and old 600 model some more not the latest 610. Until I can compare it with XDE player, I'm totally satisfied.

I'm not getting XDE la dude. Just saying that maybe only XDE can beat my Pioneer in term of PQ. Yep I'm getting BD player end of this year but now I kind of gatal to get PS3 brought by our "tortoise" Sony Malaysia tongue.gif

RM1599 for 80GB PS3 with peace of mind local warranty really tempting sweat.gif

I prefer standalone too but with the price trend BDP currently going, I'll wait until end of year. If cannot tahan...PS3 la. At least PS3 won't "expire" so soon biggrin.gif

Once you get into BDs bro, you will not buy new DVDs anymore. Just start your BD venture and only then you'll understand. biggrin.gif

RM15 per disc but I found myself buy less and less these days. Instead, my original DVDs keep growing. Soon BD will join the collection tongue.gif
