are those ur hamsters? really got red eyes? or camera effect? can u take a pic w/o flash for us to see?

coz those hybrids dont have red eyes.. only pure RCs have..

you should tell them coz it needs to be put in the freezer all the time. I bought a small pack to try in my last visit.

I have a problem...my hamsters are not really eating the dry food. Except for the sunflower seeds and some carrots I cut, they don't eat anything else. Should I leave it be or do something?

yeah just leave it until they eat. Stop the kuaci and carrot for a while and kinda force them to makan your new food

why they like kuaci so much? my hammi pick only the kuaci leaving all others in the bowl grr...

Because kuaci is very rich and tasty, kinda like eating mcdonalds

ya..they are my hamster and its not flash effect...its eye is really red in colour.....

actually want u to take photo w/o flash to see its coat color clearly.. can u do the favor? cos it'll be interesting if hybrids have red eyes.. but if it's an RC, that would mean u're mixing 2 different species together.. just to play safe, take a photo for us to judge

this is how hybrids appear.. ppl dont know how to differentiate the 2 species & interbreed them.. there are many bad consequences of crossbreeding RCs & WWs.. u can google for more info if u want..

it's important that we know how to differentiate these 2 species.. i learnt how to differentiate them thru googling & of cos by owning both species..

yea.. so we must eat more to be healthy!!

to differentiate WW and RC
1. we have to look at the shape of the face, RC is sharp face, WW has bullet shape
2. RC body is a bit flat, WW is round
3. RC eyes are smaller and far away from the nose, WW is bigger and near the nose
4. look at the hind legs, RC body top part color is not join with the hind leg, but WW is

ya.. but in malaysia it's hard to determine from the face & shape.. cos our hamsters face & body structure do not meet the requirements as show hamsters (ie to have the above said shapes).. our hamsters, some can even look like mouse

for me, i look at the dorsal stripe.. RCs have thinner dorsal stripes than WWs.. also the size.. 1 month old RC will be a lot bigger than WW..

@yfchin2: i think urs is an argente.. now i'm suspecting ur Agouti, whether it's RC or WW.. if can, just take a clear picture (not close-up) then we can identify
