when i did backup it auto created all the files. dont need to make folder.

will it back-up whole the user profile game saved..?
well like if i hv 5 user profile..
will it saved all in once.. or need back-up one by one the user profile

are you formatting your HDD? or upgrading? make sure you sync your trophies. as those dont get backed up.

ok... now i got problem.... juz downloaded Need For Speed ProStreet DEMO.

But everytime I quit the game demo the PS3 will hang.. and gives 3 beeps. Than I have to force shut down by pressing the PS3 ON/OFF button coz the controller does not respond when it hangs.

I've done it twice to check if results the same.. and yup it hangs.. ONLY for Need For Speed ProStreet demo.

Everything else is fine... only this demo.

My firmware is the latest 2.6 anyone has this problem?

Thanks for the links, according to wikipedia Warhawk initial download size is 798MB and according to the link Warhawk last index is 1077056, and for Lair it ends at 11931104. If the indexes are representing size/starting point of the file in Byte, then Warhawk would be 1.027GB almost similar to the installation size "Warhawk w/boosters-(Required) 1.1 GB" and Lair is 11.38GB. Sounds valid to me, but too bad the update is the last file from the list, else maybe we could verify the size of the update file. If this is true, that means, we are wasting some bandwidth to download the update files, just because Sony did not figure out a better way of doing it. :|

1) Is the HDD (PS3) same with HDD (computer, SATA etc..) ?

PS3 uses 2.5 Sata HDD similar with Laptops.. you can even use 2.5 SSD too.

About my demo problem, yes I tried playing other Demo games works fine... I guess NFS Demo was faulty... deleted it.. other than that the PS3 works fine.

how do i copy the entire game from disc to drive? apply to certain games only ?

only partial installation for disc-based games

VF5 have "full" game install. u can play the game w/o any B/G music after installing. too bad, sony took notice of that loophole in an early coded game, now no other disc-based games can cont' playing after disc is ejected

really? has full game install? i got the game. but didnt know that. i love my tekken thats on the drive. it loads sooooo fast. will take a look at VF5 tonight.

^first, u need to install it ~2GB or something

u still need to boot the game with the disc though. then after reaching the start screen, u can eject the disc.

note: i'm not sure abt other games like GT5P, Warhawk, NGSigma, etc (early coded games) cos i don't have them

ohhhh. then like that dont need lah. i was hoping transfer the whole game to run off the HDD. i only have the online version of warhawk. someone gave me. strange how they have online only versions on disc. i thought only psn sells those. oh well. i doubt the coding will be the same.
