yeah the ps3 can play a bunch of media files, like mp3, mp4, mpeg. but im not sure about the rm files, the ps3 is meant to be a media centre. some people install linux into their systems to play more stuff and even run emulators. i think theres links for that on the first page

ps3 OS is not mend to play Real Media files.. but it can be play with the linux OS if u install it..

i want to ask something..


PS3 A has fully updated MGO.


PS3 B has freshly installed MGO

A backups to a flash drive A which of coz includes the patches for MGO.

B also backups to a flash drive B which does not include the patches for MGO

copy the patches of MGO from FD A-FD B and rebackup to PS3 B using FD B.

will PS3 B have the same updates/patches of PS3 A without need to dl the lengthy patches ?

btw.. i found out using my PC to play my rmvb files output to the same TV using 15 pins is clearer than using tversirty stream to PS3 to my tv..

watching same rmvb direct from Pc is much clearer than watching rmvb using Tversity .....

not sure if i am missing any settings to set it clearer, but i find it useful for the mps3 only... i used a usb WIFI dongle for this trick tongue.gif

i dun really recommend u playing burnout paradise without any updates

u missed out the trophies, and a bug that may caused ur ps3 to hang is still there..

u cant play online too..

my suggest is to use ps3 proxy to download your updates via your pc/laptop @ full speed.

burnout paradise are patched is stages, not mistaken 3 patches, 1st downloaded, install and continue with second and the third.

nowadays i'm living by myself (+ a housemate) and the ps3 is now in the living room.

btw acougan pm-ed me earlier.. he is quite busy nowadays and asked whether there is any ppl who wants to handle the v3 faqs thread. he asked me to maintain the thread but i'd think it's best to leave us open for options. if there is any taker, please do so. make sure to reserve 4-5 posts at the start of the thread though.
