hey guys, i know the ps3 is supposed to be region-free for games, but i am bit confused with the note at the bottom of this page:

just buy it

all ps3 games are region free. their online gameplay might be region locked. in that case just create a new user account.

blu ray, ps1, ps2 and dvd's are region locked and you cannot simply play any of these games or movies on the ps3.

Which monitor should i choose?

my buget is <RM 2000
24" with DVI and HDMI.
DVI for my computer use, and HDMI for my PS3 use.

I wonder if anyone here can help me. I'm trying to figure out the warranty difference between MY set and SG set. Talked to a salesperson today and he say the lens problem is not covered in the warranty, only labor is. Besides the lens...what does the MY warranty cover which SG does not? Or is it just the location of the repair centre?

in sign up, there's an option for adding existing account if u have

also u can create US, JAP, SG account for each user... usually for PSN stores ... lots of stuff to download

Hmm.. through that guide, they register through ps3. And the option turn up to sign in.
But i register through pc, and now i wish to sign in, but there is only sign up option

go thru that sign up option in ps3...



u will see two things: create new accounts or use existing accounts

choose existing account then u can put user id plus password that u created on PC

ahh.. no wonder, never get pass the sign up cause havent update the ps3 yet....

I heard if your line is not stable, or frequently disconnect, is risky to update directly right? Cause it might cause error..???

Any other way to update the ps3? Can help guide step by step?
