thats one way of doing it...

another way is to make ur pc content shared with ps3 thru home network... no need to download into ps3 hdd... just stream from pc to ps3.. using tversity software ..

THank a lot on the link...
I read the whole thread, look very interesting but kinda complicated for me to set up all this...
I usually watch my normal rmvb on my laptop, so dont think I need to stream to my ps3.
But i was kinda interested to know, besides bd movies, you can actually play other movie format from the ps3? I tot ps3 only play bd......
So what format does the ps3 support?
I can just download the movie from the internet and save it into my ps3 hdd?
Wasnt that much easier and cheaper than getting a BD movie?
Any recommended free site to download these movies supported by ps3?
Also can i just save the movies from a friends pc with my external hardisk and transfer it to my ps3 to play?
Is the above possible, anyone wanna share? kekeke notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

watching same rmvb direct from Pc is much clearer than watching rmvb using Tversity .....

not sure if i am missing any settings to set it clearer, but i find it useful for the mps3 only... i used a usb WIFI dongle for this trick tongue.gif

if u wan hassle free to stream media, use this free software

http://www.ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com

If u already hv existing codec install, just install this software and it will install detect u PS3, very simple and easy, some more u can browse u PC from PS3, no need to specify any folder to be shared.

you cant simply change, you have to create a new user (leftmost column in xmb), then sign up for a new psn account. put uk/us/etc address. the zip/postcode must match with the state. google up for a random bank/uni/shop address to put in the registration form

We have confirmation from SCEA now that the power supply inside the Playstation 3 is, in fact, universal. The power supply supports 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 Hertz, which is useable in all modern power grids -- including Europe. Although European markers require a different physical plug for their infrastructure, there is no need to replace the power supply.
