PC fair isn't the place tp find hardware parts. You won't find many. Main thing, new products, advertisement for the brand, cheaper aternative to something very common and practical like ink, acessories in a way. Otehrs, mainly PC, laptop, way to test market reaction. Mind yo,u every 3months there is 1 show and the shows are getting bigger and more vendors are coming. This year as reported, >800 vendors here. If you want bargain for certain product, it you find better opportunity there.

Yes the 2MB package also limited to 50G data usage. You can go to Singtel showroom @ Suntec to register. Today is last day of promotion so you better act fast if you plan to register.

I am a permanent staff with PR status. In fact I checked with other colleagues who are either SG local or PR, they are same as me and get no 13th month pay. Compulsary... so bbmars do you mean that my employer is violating the labor law in SG?

No, 2 at Suntec, 2 at Expo. usually time is always near to school holiday (Mar, late May or early Jun, Sept & late Nov or early dec). Just that the Sept one has shifted, for F1 night race I think? not sure true or not. the travel fair during this period was also affected. The tourism fair was held last last month too. all these should have been together for years but now all changes.

Not all the 4 fairs has thing sto buy, they serve different purpose I think. I don't know the differrence, but I never attended all of them. One of them, mainly on Camera (main hall).

My colleagues all have. Oustside private sector, better negotiate with it. If you take the terms as in contract, then probably don't have. Else should have. Pardon me, if the pay package bundle everything together, its going to be hard to fight the case. Why not ask about it the next time round.

Sorry, I thought PR too get exactly the same as my company is paying everybody including foreigners as local terms and condition. Contract too, usually 2 years. I see many foreign colleagues everyday at my work place. MY last 4 companies in the industry pays them too, most are from MY and several from HK with few locals. all get 13 months+bonus. I have been working for >20yrs already

Annual Wage Supplement

Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) is commonly known as the 13th month payment. It is a single annual payment to employees that supplements the total amount of annual wage earned by them.

Payment of AWS depends on the contractual agreement between the employer and the employee i.e. whether it is provided for in the employment contract or collective agreement.

If it is not stipulated in the employment contract, AWS payment is subject to negotiation and mutual agreement between the employer and employee, or the trade union representing the employee.

An employer is not allowed to pay an AWS of more than three months' salary if:

* He/she agreed (either by way of an employment contract or collective agreement) to pay an AWS of up to three months' wages before the commencement of the Employment (Amendment) Act 1988 on 16 August 1988.

However, the employer can negotiate with the employee, or the trade union representing the employee, to vary the quantum.

An employer is not allowed to pay an AWS of more than one month's wage if he/she:

* Has not paid any AWS prior to 16 August 1988.

If business results are exceptionally poor for any year, an employer may negotiate with the employees, or the trade union representing the employees, to adjust the AWS downwards.
