thanks for the advise,
looks like the decision is still up to me.. what makes me think of moving there straight is because if there's interviews, then its more convenient if i'm there.. n one more thing, i believe that hiring companies will select to call candidates who's got sg address/contact.. |

i need some advise from experience ppl.. this is my scenario:
i've already been in Singapore for 1 month +.. as my visa expired for the first month, i went out to Johor n came back to renew my visa and prolong the staying period.. then i got an extension of another 1 month.. so question is, are there such rules or regulation stating that i cannot be in Singapore for 2 months, n that i have to go back for 1 month before coming back to sg again?? experience ppl pls advise, its kinda urgent.. btw, my purpose here is to job hunt n it has been 1 month+ since i came here.. thanks in advance.. |

has anyone tried applying for e-xtend?
i'm really confused, i've heard ppl saying that i cannot stay more than 60 days within a 90 days period in sg.. if so, i would have to go back for 1 month before returning.. some say theres no such thing, some say it only depends on your current embarkation card (30 Days), some say this some say that.. n i've been to ICA website, called the hotline several times, been to ICA building to inquire but no exact answers and only different answers.. headache So, without taking any chance, i'm going to try for e-xtend to get another 1 month of stay here in sg.. any advise to how this system works? QUOTE(Chrisky @ Dec 17 2008, 05:36 PM) well... there's plenty of those websites out there. u'll know what to do if u interest to know abt it. thanks for the helpful feedback.. appreciate it very much! as for the torrents, i believe its like many other places : bt itself is not illegal, its the things that u download that matters. according to my friends, casual BT is ok (not like 24-7 of coz), juz dont go n distribute it around. |

QUOTE(Joshua_0718 @ Dec 17 2008, 09:59 PM) What say you? Of course no. Download at your own risk by dynamic IP u mean? VPN?Why not? My current job is actually for Singaporean and SPR. Due to my knowledge and experience, I got the job. Who cares? Just that out of 100, chances are 1% 50% 50% will get caught. But if you are on dynamic IP, very hard to get caught. If you are real unlucky, you will receive a warning letter for the 1st time. Just becareful for downloading US torrent. Usually the officer are the seeder Starhub Mobile Broadband all the way! M1? Don't go for it. Many of us quit from M1 i thought getting a warning letter meant lucky, at least u know u are warned then u can stop.. |
