I guess he mean one of the filter layer is from Korea and assembling in Malaysia, it could be just another OEM external filter.Any comment? Good buy? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Did he just mentioned activated carbon in the external water filter? |

QUOTE(weikee @ Nov 18 2012, 11:36 PM) Few weeks ago, I change all the PVC ball valves to conventional Brass. The PVC ball valves will leak after sometime exposed to sun light. Mine was leaking very badly after close to 1 year of usages. It come from the free installation. well done weikee, cant imagine u can changed it by yourself. BTW you are right, brass valve is much much reliable than PVC ball valve. When you get free installation, ask the plumber to use brass, pay him some $$$ to change maybe RM 100+-. Brass / stainless steal is much reliable and more expensive. One brass valve / tap is about RM 25- 30. Need 3. The PVC ball valve only RM 5 - 7, and h/w shop owner told me pvc ball valve is not design for high pressure + sun exposure. Original: ![]() Now: ![]() Added on November 18, 2012, 11:36 pmAll done by myself. It is very good infor for those end user who not install yet 1. Js share some little infor with you, if you have another 3M pre-filter(model:AP055T) before AP902, then your AP902 filter can be more lasting. because replacement AP055T pre-filter cost is cheaper a lot than AP902 filter.. I'm currently looking for water filter.
Torn between Nesh, Diamond and Amway. Any recommendation ? I know that Amway uses different kind of technology (UV Lighting) while Diamond & Nesh is using carbon filter. Saw most of the posting here use Amway. What makes u choose Amway ? |

QUOTE(Milo_O @ Dec 3 2012, 11:17 AM) I'm currently looking for water filter. Got its patented activated carbon filter which able to filter more than 140 health-effect contaminants combined with UV light technology to kill more than 99.99% of bacteria & viruses, also able to remain nearly 100% of beneficial minerals in water. Independently verified and certified by the NSF(42, 53, 55) & WQA. Got 2years warranty and the maintenance cost is as low as RM0.09/litres.Torn between Nesh, Diamond and Amway. Any recommendation ? Guys, need quick help.
I've gotten myself an eSpring water filter and I have also bought my own faucet. Did not purchase the faucet from Amway as the color doesn't match my main water tap color. Now I have a problem trying to get somebody to fix the eSpring filter with my own faucet. I had tried calling Amway guys to come and they said they do not know to fix other type of faucet except Amway's own eSpring faucet. Question 1: Anybody can recommend a good plumber who knows how to fix eSpring? Question 2: Is it really needed to install a pressure valve to avoid damage to the eSpring in long term? Thanks. Appreciate prompt response. This post has been edited by Superman7: Dec 4 2012, 11:50 AM |

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Dec 4 2012, 11:49 AM) Guys, need quick help. Well, that is very true if you bring in your own faucet instead of eSpring's faucet, Amway technical guy won't be responsible to settle it. Anyway, have you contacted the distributor who sell you the eSpring to help solve your problem? I've gotten myself an eSpring water filter and I have also bought my own faucet. Question2: Why do you need to install a pressure valve? You having unstable of water pressure incoming? Ps: mind to take a snap of your own faucet? |

Question2: Why do you need to install a pressure valve? You having unstable of water pressure incoming? Ps: mind to take a snap of your own faucet? Do you know any smart plumber to recommend? It was advised by the Amway technical support that there should be a pressure valve to prevent damage to the eSpring bracket in long term. The pressure valve will act as a stopper when the filter faucet is not turned on. In other words, when you're not using the eSpring, there is no water entering the eSpring. It will be stopped by the pressure valve. This is the filter faucet I bought. This post has been edited by Superman7: Dec 4 2012, 06:02 PM |
