try avoid too expensive outdoor filter, ppl can steal it.
the outdoor filter mainly is to filter make sure the water is not contaminated and not yellowish (Use for bath, washing machine etc) And you got to need a good water filter indoor for ur drinking just like espring, if you always cook ur water before drinking it then can consider 3M AP which is cheaper. |

QUOTE(weikee @ Feb 17 2014, 10:48 AM) I notice this PVC valve after long exposure on the sun, it will become sensative to pressure change. When you off the main incoming, the presure may have switch high from incoming to low. And that cause the PVC valve leak. The PVC valve on my 3M filter had this problem, it happen right after Sybas water distruption (after 1 year of usage), same for my mom house. True agreed.I end up change the PVC vavle to Brass, it cost me around 20+ each, and i need 3. Still no time change my mom units, but temporary I managed to fix it by just turn on, off the valve few time. my filter also exposes to sun and rain 100%. regret, should install the filter and inlet/outlet inside car porch instead. |

QUOTE(supersound @ Feb 17 2014, 12:33 PM) Wow, metal piping, sure can last long. But you will die faster. From underground till my syabas meter also stainless steel (done by syabas).Just use poly pipe(black pipe) which is more durable than PVC and less reactive than metal pipe. As for your outdoor filter, you can paint it black or cover it. Have to know that, water supplier will inject chlorine follow their stock. Over inject will cause the water to be lower pH and under inject will result to algae formation. |

QUOTE(stevie_G @ May 30 2014, 11:41 AM) Hi bros , Is OK, but must make sure the ABS pipes always got water inside,Is it okie to use ABS pipes for outdoor filter? Coloured ABS pipes to be precise. In term of toxicity etc ? If not , what is the best pipe type for outdoor filter? Thanks. It happened to me where i go back hometown 2 weeks for CNY, i off the syabas meter valve, then the pipe don't have water. If then it will easy to pecah when pressure come.
