QUOTE(zheilwane @ Jun 1 2015, 02:12 AM) I wouldnt recommend jus k1-07b alone. 0.1 micron with just single cartridge it is gonna get clogged very fast and the amount of carbon block with silver in the cartridge is very little as 50% to 60% of the cartridge is membrane. I have customers using 3M ap easy complete didnt install outdoor filter got clogged in 2 months. So, for direct drinking i would strongly recommend Crystal Eco. Sometimes spec doesnt explain everything, i have choosen Aquaphor based on my experience and customer feedback from using 3M. We understand that there are many people who are concern about bacteria in their drinking water and opt for amway espring which has uv light, 3m also develop dws2500 to cater for this need but reputable filters that can filter bacteria is just too expensive (espring rm 3000+ and 3m dws2500 rm 2300+). That is why we got Aquaphor Crystal Eco @ rm 1350 (after promo is rm 1500). How much more will the K7B cost? And the replacement filter?Btw, if with K7b will be more expensive than K7. For better performance with K7b then better must get Crystal Eco (with prefilter and also extra cartridges with carbon block and silver). If need more info just drop by my showroom and ask for zean. Interesting info on the 0.1 micron membrane filter by Mitsubishi Japan, I wonder if the Panasonic PJ-37MRF uses the same HF membrane. |

QUOTE(d_goh @ Jun 1 2015, 03:18 PM) cover particle test in the output of the different water filters. RO membrane has lifespan... if lifespan is end or near end it will happen... also the quality of the membrane... made in US/Korea/Taiwan/Local or chinaShockingly RO water is not the cleanest, particle count is pretty high in RO water. |

Ask requested a table for comparison. Here you go, for detail comparison must go through the catalogs or drop by my showroom as there are too many information and it is impossible to type all into the table. There are just too many benefit of Aquaphor having Aqualen and Silver in their filters.

(no one want to drink shit water) I know there are different grades, but not many consumers are aware of that, and thought RO = cleanest.used by our household is consumer grade... it is good but not the pure one... Put under the particle checker, they got the shocking look on their face. Singapore water refinery was done by hyflux. I doubt it is cleanest also, have friends in singapore complained about it. The only cleanest RO tech is used on the space shuttle, that really can transform shit and piss to pure water. |

QUOTE(l3iTi @ Jun 4 2015, 02:29 PM) Haha they wont fit. Even if you have the new 3M DWS2500T wont be compatible with 3M DWS 1000, same brand but not compatible. Aquaphor on the other hand has standardize cartridge design for Crystal Series and Morion. Previous old model Crystal Trio is using 0.8 micron but now they have come out with the new Crystal Eco with 0.1 micron Hollow Fibre Membrane, existing customers could upgrade their filter by changing the cartridge only. Isnt that GREAT ! Most brands will develop new models within 2 - 5 years but the cartridge design is different. Some even worse, they discontinue the old cartridge forcing you to change to a new system and spend more money. I believe most of you experience this before. So, this is another thing i like about Aquaphor, standardize cartridge design |

QUOTE(coo|dude @ Jun 6 2015, 07:07 PM) Hello, Actually there are several threads on external water filter, just need to read them all and you will be able to decideIs anyone here familiar with this local brand? http://lec2u.sykcms.com/public/apps/produc...MEMBRANE-FILTER Any experience and comments? Very much appreciated. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1869488/all https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2340365/all Just a brief summary: Despite the many brands in the market there are only a few types of filter 1) Hollow Fibre Membrane 0.01 micron (Eg : LecHome, Nesh, Rubine, Hydro1) 2) Sand Filter 5 - 10 microns (Waterco,Backgree, Perfect Steel) 3) Cloth type membrane 5 - 10 microns (Diamond, 3M) I do sell all these 3 types of filters but only recommend and display no2 and no3 in my shop, no1 not recommended. Water Quality Well, Hollow Fibre Membrane filter with 0.01 micron has definitely the best filtration over the other types but as we discussed earlier on drinking filters like Amway 0.2 micron, 3M 0.2 micron and Aquaphor 0.1 micron, dont you think 0.01micron is just too clean for an outdoor filter? it is even better than the drinking filters Imagine our drinking filter pressure is weak, how would 0.01 micron affect your incoming water pressure? It will definitely reduce 1bar of pressure or more. Other things to consider such as durability, maintenance, maintenance cost and etc you can get the info in the other threads, google on them or drop by my showroom, kinda lengthy to retype everything here. Generally speaking for landed properties with high water usage i would suggest getting Perfect Steel, i tried 3M AP902 close to 2 years and recently replace it with perfect steel. Why? I have upto 6 people at home with high water usage (10" Sorento Shower head and a strong Grundfos water pump), 3M AP902 capacity is just not enough for us, that is why we opt for Perfect Steel with backwash system. For condos with limited space and could not backwash, get 3M AP902 This post has been edited by zheilwane: Jun 8 2015, 04:48 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |
