My chef researched many models and brands and decided on Panasonic inverter 602L. The reasons being:
1. energy 5 star rating.
2. The chef open the fridge door 5 x more frequent than freezer door, thus prefer upper fridge and lower freezer.
3. The vege box is at the middle, no need bending back,
4. The freezer has only one drawer and no partition, can top loading large single item without the hassle of cutting it to smaller pcs.

Remind me back those kopitiam old fridge. Where the bottom is freezer for ice making and meat. While the top store the carbonate drink. So this kind of design have been in here for many many yrs. Probably invent here. But we ignore it.

Till some big famous manufacturing start to introduce the bottom freezer. Than we start to notice the advantage of it.

I have check this 2 kind of middle bar design. Most of the fridge using middle bar while only Sharp is using magnetic rubber seal. I feel the middle bar have a better seal than the magnetic rubber.

In long run, Not sure the rubber seal will get hard and won't seal it properly. Than the cool air leak out.

For the middle bar, not sure the mechanical can last. Specially when slamming the door close. I have seen some demo fridge in the shop where the middle bar cannot flip anymore.

When my newly bought Sharp French door came 6 years ago, there was a gap between the two doors. I put a torchlight inside and with the doors close, can still see the light. The tech came and change the rubber seals. Even though it has been okay ever since, still I feel these type not so good. If you want French door, get the Hitachi with the bar.

Anyway for my next fridge, I just get the normal one door type. biggrin.gif

Which 3 doors? All 3 also got three doors  biggrin.gif
The SG37BPM lowest so far is at Rm2200 but I've never seen it before in anywhere but it is available.
I like this model as it has automatic ice maker. No ice cube trays needed

The two with French doors can be seen at HN.
R-WB490P2M is Rm2850 at HN
But the silver one is Rm2500
R-WB560P2M is around Rm3200
Not sure where are the Bosch manufactured. Somebody mentioned Turkey. Somebody bought this model. Look back some of the post.

Do you know what are the differences between this SG37BPM model with mitsubishi MR-C46E MR-C46E. Both with auto ice-maker. Are they the same?

I've seen the MRC41E smaller unit.
Doors are not glass like hitachi
Also not inverter
But I remember much lower price than hitachi. The 41E was around Rm1900 at HN

Bro, fridge now has becoming more affordable bro. With budget under RM1000 you can already buy decent Panasonic 2 doors mah. Btw, I have just purchased Panasonic NR-BW465XS for RM2200. It has bottom freezer and I think you can get cheaper price for the same model in KL since I live in Terengganu. If budget is really your constraint, there are many choices of Panasonic fridge that fit your budget but u may not get the one with bottom freezer la.

bros,

I'm wondering for fridges with bottom freezer, is it any different? I've never used 1 but I always felt that it is not so convenient? It feels like you have to stack all your meets vertically than place them horizontally. Plus, there is no door compartment to place bottles or in my case freeze paks.

Is it any different?

Ive justt converted from top freezer ( for the past donkey years) to bottom drawer type freezer recently.
Now I find bottom freezer suits me, coz top loading and unloading frozen food is easier, easy to search, and space saving. There is a small horizontal drawer in the freezer for small items. You can put many various sizes bottles, the top freezer can only put limited small size bottles at the door.
