QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Oct 7 2013, 09:49 AM) Partition drawers in the freezer looks neat and organize but with one major disadvantage...can't put in large odd sizes food. Yup agree. But its just a house for 2 ppl, and i do normally cut all the meat/ fish in serving size when storing. So large odd size food shall seldom exist in my fridge.

I just myself a Hitachi RZ490 fridge yesterday. After putting it still for more than 8 hours, i power it On. When the compressor starts running, it produces a humming sound. Is this normal for Hitachi fridge?

If you're still worried, call up the service center to send someone over to check it out. Here's the contact List for customer service centres in m'sia.

Maybe the engine is running and ur tamper glass, vegetable rack is shaking inside when the fridge inside is 100% empty. i got the same problem, try to put some 1.5L water bottle inside and try again. I find it strange that Legend SS2 quotes such low prices compared to all others (in the same area). I read another poster saying the same. Anyone bought fridges from them?

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Oct 15 2013, 08:29 PM) did you check with Jintex? No, I don't know who that is.. Anyway I was looking at the Samsung fridges -- digital inverter. The exterior looks OK. However, the interior compartments are all made of this really cheap plastic -- horrible! And the freezer seems kind of cramped. They are in the more affordable range for inverter fridges though. I'm thinking of looking at the Japanese brands (are they actually made in Thailand or something?) instead. Maybe a Hitachi or a Panasonic. I'm super keen on getting inverter technology. Probably a fridge ranging around 400l. Budget around 2500. I would love glass shelves as well, good sturdy build. Oh yeah, really good freezer space too. Any recommendations?
