get the 8.7 driver .. and check if your motherboard driver are updated.

what psu you use? could be psu also. 77'c idle is damn hot.. I wonder how you can bear with it.

ouch try lower the fan speed and see...i did that and temps drop 50 degrees from 70 degrees with fan full speed previously in idle mode

u mean increase the fan speed? yeah i did that too now running at 55% speed and temp is at 55deg idle, which is acceptable to me considering the fact that at 65% fan speed is too noisy for me...last time idle 80deg with default settings..my gc

Increase it to 30~50%
By the way,the new 8.7 driver is already automatically.Tested and its idle around 60C.Automatically means,automatically control the fan speed according to our task.

I dont know but its set automatically.I checked it.I make a profile,then i save at 50% but still same.So i check,and it setted to Auto..So i change to Manual and it works.

I got 1 question: I set the AA setting to 4x "Edge Detect" but it wont show any effect in GRID. I turn off the AA in GRID menu edi but still no effect.

same here,i changed all the setting to maximun in ccc.
and play grid i see the word so weird,then i change it to performance.
the game and word become more nice.

i think codemasters will patch its GRID soon or mayb wait 4 new driver

Image/IQ on movie should be the Avivo.But i think the Settings already better.

Just sharing some of my experience with PowerColor HD4870

I went to my friend shop today.. And they decided to test the 4870 stock to see the result. And we did it.. Score is not bad.. But bottleneck by the CPU coz only using AMD X2 4000+.

One funny thing is.. We set the reference cooler fan speed to 60% and the idle temp for 4870 is lower than the 4850 we have tested...

4870 idle temp is 38c only.. No joke... (But very loud like vacuum cleaner..)
4850 idle temp is 45c

y not? 4870 got better dual slot cooler le..

In that case it's better off getting a 3rd party cooler . But i've seen coolice 4850 overclocking the result not impressive. Max. OC only gains 1-2FPS in Crysis
