Regardless of how noise insulated your case is, there are still vents out the back of the card, and the airflow through those vents combined with the spinning fan makes for a fair bit of noise. I notice the card spools up the fan to a high rate momentarily when I turn on and off my comp.

juine, are you getting mid-40 degree temps with the HR-03GT? Is it totally passive, or does it have a fan on it?

also, bulk for the accelero: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/749599
which one to choose... hmmm...

It means BBA board or Build By ATi in this case. U can say original PCB design by Nvidia/ATi and respective gpu makers.

Roland San, thx for the article, i did saw it few days ago, but somehow i doubt about the review, from the pictures, seems the card is very barely cover..... eventhough 4870 running more on ceramic components, i believe it still need quite some cooling too rite? the stock heatsink cover most of it if not mistaken......

now i'm thinking to get a HR-03GT or not,

What's with the 40GB IDE HDD? Hope you're only using it as a data disk..
If the system partition lives on it it'll definitely bottleneck your PC lol.

Will probably get the accelero twin turbo. Read the installation guide, it comes with ramsinks and voltage regulation chip sinks.

Right now running with stock cooler with two profiles, Idle (31% fanspeed) and Load (45% fanspeed). Just have to remember to switch between them before cranking up any game.

Waiting for the right time is like waiting for a train that never stops. Just have to bite the bullet, and jump on.
