If GDDR5, then it should be HD4870 then? I saw the comparison of HD4850 and HD4870 difference is the RAM if not mistaken. Correct me if im wrong though tongue.gif

Currently no hackintosh driver for HD4850 yet. Perhaps later macvidia will come out with new development. Just keep ur fingers crossed atm.
I still remember last time hackintosh MacOSX 10 Tiger works on my ancient Pentium 4 Soc478, Gigabyte GA-SR533 mobo, FX5200, etc. Although it was not fully functioning still given me a chance to run it on my pc. U might wanna try learn this more at http://forum.osx86scene.com/index.php.
But need some time and effort in learning this.

Dun think that'll happen. The only difference between 4850 and 4870 is the RAM. If they put GDDR5 on 4850, it'll kill the 4870 market.

It'll work, but only basic VGA, meaning 1024 x768 resolution only with no QE/CI functionality. It automatically detects as plain VGA after i swapped out my old 7600GS.

I was wondering if ATi graphics cards are having this problem similarly to NVidia whereby the automatic fan control fux up. Using RivaTuner to automatically set the fan speed, it will reset it to 25% no matter how i tried and hence that prevent any overclocking. Unless with a 3rd party cooler.
