ya, it is cheapest compare to HongLeong as well, min RM8 per transaction.
However, i just filled form to register a account with them. Haven try their service yet.

anyway, if anything happen, if we buy share and it is straight deposit into our direct CDS, right?

even the security closed, my shares are still in my account, right?

Same as HLEbroking as well.
http://www.excelforce.com.my/efmsc/cust01.asp

EDIT:
Although Jupiter offering cheapest trading fees, is the services provided reliable secure, fast & smooth?
Trust me, when you encounter slow connection, unrealiable you will be fed up when trading shares.

Sometime i do encounter disconnection when using RHBInvest(not due to Internet connection as i'm using office connection, fast & reliable)
I suspect because of limited server that they subscribed. I heard that RHBInvest only have 3 servers while HLE offer 11 servers.
Does anyone here tried HLE broking services? Is it fast?

I'm using them Jupiter currently...

the rate are as mentioned...RM8/0.05% per contract basis!! But this is only available with cash-upfront trading. i.e. you hav to have money deposited into your CDS to trade, the trading amount will be the amount of cash inside it.

for margin trading....intra-day rm8/0.05%, overnight 0.2%....the margin given is 50% of on the amount of shares on hand.
If you have 5k cash, hold another 5k worth of PBBANK shares...so your trading margin can be rm2,500 margin + 5k cash =7.5k
correct me if i'm wrong.

So far connection wise is ok...maybe dun feel it, coz my office line is slow.
But for sure they are using the same platform with Maybank...same provider sweat.gif

Trading is smooth...nothing much.

But one thing is when i transferred money into my CDS, especially if you do it through online banking at night time...they might not be updated into your CDS account. So, have to always check with them...so far transferred 4 times...2 times failed to update on same day.

But with the low commission rate...it is a good option! faster breakeven...but margin-trading is not too much lar

I'm using Jupiter also.

I've xfer my stocks from other investment company to jupiter and all my stocks in the next day after the xfer.
I call my jupiter broker and she reimburse me back the xfer fees Rm10 per counter quite fast also about 2 days.
My broker also quite good coz she give me a call to confirm on my stock placement to sell just to make sure i place the correct order and not oversell, etcs.
I likes its research especially free access to Dow Jones report and its in house reseach morning coffee.

So far, so good. Best rates i got so far.. makes more profit when sell and save more money when buy alot stocks also.

ok. thx for the feedback. just went to their office to open an account. They say will activate in 2 days. cool. Stupid Maybank took 1 week to activate acc and their system always disconnect.

Also they give interest of 2.4% for balance less than 50k and 3% if > 50k which is way better than maybank's PM1 acc of 1%.

Will try to transfer shares to them after acc activated.

Nop.. Jupiter currently dont have this function. Can only park for next day or current trading day + afternoon.
Itrade CIMB have that function to park in advance up to 3 mths if i'm not mistaken.

If you are using Jupiter, do chk the PC icon connection at top left, if is alwys chg from X to no X means the internet connection is not smooth. It will have problem to updates the information or accept buy/sell instructtion. Just restart your internet connection to solve this problem.

Each o9 trading platform have its advantages .

OSK have Database details of major shareholders.
Maybank have Dow Jones news + 0.1% brokerage
Jupiter - low trading rates 0.05%

I have all 4 o9 trading platform to use. Just pay RM10 to open a CDS for each investment company. laugh.gif

got 2 difference trade , one is cash upfront second is like what you say , anyway is good to trade in cash upfront cause as what you can see there they even give interest in trust fund . anyway trust fund can also help you to calculate how much you win and loss .

in that case, might be better to put some money in the a/c. the 2.4% they're giving is much better than normal savings a/c. i'm might go out to open an a/c this afternoon.

according to the FAQ, you can opt for either way.

QUOTE
As per Bursa Malaysia guidelines, you are required to be present before a licensed dealers’ representative or an authorised officer of Jupiter Securities who will witness your application. Alternatively, you may choose to sign before a Notary Public as a witness.

You'll need to open a trading account as well as a new CDS account under Jupiter. Then you'll have to go to HwangDBS to do a CDS transfer from Hwang to Jupiter. You'll have to pay RM10 for every counter that you transfer.

If i am not mistaken, Jupiter will re-imburse you for only 5 counters... so if you transfer 15 counters, you'll have to pay RM 100 on your own, and Jupiter will pay RM50. So it's not really "zero moving cost"

coz they have to cover the brokerage and other costs. Example like your 1st trade cost exactly whole RM7.5k, then where will be no avenue for them to absorb the brokerage costs, hence, they ill need to deduct a small amount to cover for your 1st trade.
Your RM31 is still inside the account.

after u filled up the online form, call Jupiter Sec. They will assign a dealer rep for u. From there on, liaise with your dealer rep about account opening, deposit, withdrawal etc.

Due to high costs in supporting our features-rich online trading system free to clients, we wish to inform you that we will be revising the Brokerage Rates for cash up-front online clients with effect from Wednesday, 22 April 2009 as follows:-

Brokerage Rates

Contract value more than RM50,000
0.05% (unchanged)

Contract value RM50,000 & below
0.10% or min RM10

Promotional  rates for  new clients  for 2 months from date of account opening, thereafter, the brokerage rates above shall apply.
0.05% or min RM8

Despite the small adjustment, our rates are still very competitive, if not the most competitive in the market.

To continue in our strive as the most innovative and competitive online broker in Malaysia, we are constantly upgrading our system capacity to enhance the speed of order execution and providing you with more options in managing your investment portfolio.

As such, please be informed that we are in the midst of migrating our processing capability to ‘straight through processing’ or commonly known as ‘STP’ whereby you will enjoy faster execution and confirmation of orders at the speed like the brokers. For those of you who are constantly on the move, we will be launching the mobile ‘phone’ trading module soon, i.e. you will be able to trade via your hand-phone as well.

Should you require any clarification, please do not hesitate to contact your assigned dealer at 03-2026 9691 or our customer service personnel at 03-20709800 or email to servicecenter@jssb.com.my.

Thank you.

Yup.. the brokerage fee has doubled for trades below 50k. cry.gif

They've also reduced the interest for money kept in the trust account. cry.gif

The alternative for small trades seems to be HLE, which charges RM 12 per trade compared to Jupiters new rate of RM 10.

Looks like even with the price increase, Jupiter is still the cheapest...

any other cheap brokerage fees for cash upfront account? I found out it is so hassle when your account not enuf limit. let say u got 200k market value stocks on hand, even u want to do a queue for RM5k stock also they will reject you when your cash is not enuf in the trust account. This will be overcome by the super low brokerage fees which is 0.05% or RM8, so abit of hassle i think still ok,

But now they doubling up it to 0.1% or RM10, is it worth for us to go through all the hassle again?

any other place we can switch?

i sign it @ 5:00PM today
they come until infront of my house, too bad is that she take awhile to find my house.
They say will take another 2 to 3 working days to activate my account
hopefully things goes well after opening this account with them...

Added on May 1, 2009, 3:12 amnobody seem to be interested with Jupiter Securities anymore...?

Added on May 9, 2009, 1:32 pmguys.... after trading with Jupiter... the experience is not really good..
when sell shares the trading limit will not reflect immediately...
is kinda stupid...
example when you have 4K in your trust account...
you use up 2.5k to buy and earn some money and sell all
in total you earn 300 after deduct everything...
so basically once you sold off your shares.. your account should reflect that you have 4.3k but it still showing 1.5k...
i am not sure does this happen to me alone or it take 1 day to make the correction but i dont have this problem when trade with Maybank last time... this experience is a total dissapointment...
i want to switch to HLeBroking and sign up on Monday!

You can find out some of the features in the trading platform i.e. Research, charting etc.
If your account is cash upfront, you can't trade until you have cash in the trust account.

you still need to sign an agreement at their office after completing the online registration.
so you need to call them to arrange the signing of agreement with their remisier, else they won't call or entertain you, i called them after completed the online registration andmy account was activated within 3 days after i sign the agreement in front of their remisier, as of my experience, their company is better than maybank invest

You may try new ones like MIMB etrade or ecmmoney. Less clients, may be better service

Added on July 26, 2009, 11:37 amSimilar experience, may be they have too many clients. Server speed to upgrade. Jupiter was ok, I am happy with them

the ecmmoney looks like a small company although it's an investment bank (they claim they are a listed company).. smile.gif
never heard of it before and some more their website is pretty crappy, some links in their website is under construction forever, furthermore their announcement is posted on twitter but not their website?!?!

from their style of managing the business, they work with minimal staff,
want faster processing either went to their office or at their roadshow/seminar... normally 2 or 3 days only..

if apply thro' online and expect them to get to u back, i think they r a bit sloppy on that part... have to follow thro yourself..

i'm happy with their work ATM...

yea, both got different trading limit..
for cash upfront, your trading limit is based on how much cash you deposit into the trust account.

i'm not quite sure about the non cash upfront trading limit cos i am using cash upfront..
Better check with the others then...

Furthermore, if have shares deposited in your CDS account, your shares will also be given value in terms of trading limit. One to One subject to capping by Jupiter on the share prices. i.e. if you hv 50k worth, you will be given 50k extra limit but subject to capping.

Personally i think Jupiter is far too small compare to OSK, TA and Banks or Investment Bank....
If you intend to invest longterm in stock market, a more well established company is a much better choice. Shares keep for many years there also have no worry......Jupiter...? just hope that it base can grow to sustain the company for next decade.

i just sign up around June this year.. smile.gif
i am a happy clients of your company..
i like the quick response from your company's server, my order will be sent just seconds during the pre-opening stage which is very efficient esp. when dealing with counter with a lot of B-Q and S-Q, compared to my MaybankInvest nominees account before, really worst, only send my order at least 5 mins to 15 mins after pre-opening. smile.gif
and the portfolio function that calculate how much we earn and loss is very helpful though

Yup, I am kiasi so I asked first, but others are just to shy to ask as knowing very well the answer will be what all like to hear.

Anyway, probably will make a trip down next week to open account, then transfer some shares over to get margin to buy then no need to always transfer cash. (very ma fan).

By the way, CDS account will come later or on the spot? If I can get the CDS account immediately, I can go to securities firm and Maybank to do transfer straight away than to make another trip.

Added on December 4, 2009, 5:08 pm
Bank Negara guarantee all bankings moneys the citizens put in. I suppose Investment bank will fall into this group. What about securities firm, Is it guarantee included CDS account?

Anybody still remember the case of Omega which the investors cannot take out their shares even in CDS account.

Somebody care to elaborate?

Actually I wonder where you got the information of Jupiter is having nominee account.

I have Bursa Malaysia Depository Sdn Bhd opening account form right in front of me with CDS account number 055 -xxx-xxxxxxxxx

Unless they have both but unlikely because they are not bank with is regulated by Bank Negara. hmm.gif

Kei, I have got mine opened and traded. I also received my CDS confirmation from Central Depository Bureau..... So no worry, is CDS unless you ask for nominee which I am not sure as I didn't ask for it....

And their trading platform is much better than Maybank. Order get confirm by Bursa just within seconds. thumbup.gif Not like Maybank.... vmad.gif Always queue at the last.... vmad.gif laugh.gif

I don't think Jupiter is backed by anyone/anything. If things go south our money with Jupiter could go 'poof' but not the shares in our CDS account. This is just what I think, I've been using Jupiter for 6 months now, please correct me if i'm wrong.

today Jupiter delayed in sending my order.
only sent the order after around 22 secs to Bursa and only get a reply from Bursa after 2 minutes from market open compared to the impressive less than 30 secs (whole process) before.
hope can improve..
because this delayed had causing my order did not being matched (most order from other broker house had been entered into the Bursa system before mine with Jupiter did)

U hav to inform ur ex-broker to transfer to your jupiter's cds acct. Min 10lots per-conter and charged RM10 per-counter.

Jupiter will re-fund the RM10 charged for 1st 5counters. Just provide the transcation slip...

I can't connect to Jupiter online stockbroking since this morning.
keep on showing connection to server failed.
I had called them and it seems that Maxis broadband nationwide can't connect to their server.
I ask them when will be fixed, they tell me they had reported to their vendor and awaiting their reply.
Till now still can't connect.
SO THAT'S IT??? I WANT TO DO MY TRADING!!! sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

Having another online account, will not help much. If you have shares with Jupiter and want to sell in the last 2 days, can you sell using others stockbroker online account?

imagine the counter i want to sell yesterday and won't be able to do it then suddenly it surge down next week due to bearish market??

i think we need an explanation from Jupiter's rep. here.

after having such incident, i advice new/potential jupiter clients to think twice before put in all your money with just 1 stockbroking firm.

i can't do trading or even have a look at the market for the whole day.
i had contacted their technical department but they just tell me it's maxis and their vendor's prolem.

Bad impression for Jupiter

Ok.
Pls ask them to update us about that.. smile.gif
I am using Maxis broadband and still can't connect to the server at all, till now starting from Friday (trading day) morning.
At first i am a happy clients of Jupiter, but now i am quite disappointed.
When i call their technical dept, they say they will testing the connection using Maxis broadband to their server and call me back but no call received.
I call them again, they tell me it's Maxis broadband's problem with their server (had received complain from a few clients) and had complained to their vendor.
If it's really server problem, it shouldn't take such long time to fix right?
I worry that upto Monday the problem still persist and I still can't connect to their server, then i would be TOTALLY ISOLATED FROM THE MARKET. doh.gif doh.gif

Unlike the wireless, my Maxis Wired never failed me. Let it be games or anything.
It will be a great disappointment if either one of them(Maxis or/and Jupiter server) fails to communicate.
Other providers which failed miserably in my area wont get the 2nd or 3rd chance from me.
Worst comes to worst, another online trader will be chosen.

you should try Maxis wireless broadband then you will know how bad it is.. tongue.gif
facing frequent disconnection during peak hours often..
now i am using Streamyx to trade and everything works great...
so i assume Streamyx still better than Maxis for stability..

I've used Maxis wireless for more than 3 years. Love and hate. Better than nothing at times. Compared to other wireless.
No Streamyx for me as I'm staying at a Maxis area for more than 5 years now.
Been using their Wired Broadband since early last year. A blessing.
Wired services is wayyy better than the wireless. Even for the crappy Streamyx.

Ok this is OOT already. We can talk more on broadbands in the respective threads.

Dear forum members,

I would like to open an online trading account with Jupiter Securities but I am not able to be at the Jupiter Securities headquarter
to sign the application form. Therefore, I need to sign the form in front of notary public as witness. May I know who is this 'Notary Public'
referrring to? Is Notary Public same as the Commissioner of Oath? Thanks in advance for any helpful reply.

Can use HSBC. More details on the website. Go to Jupiteronline.com.my. And put your cursor on the Menu section > Useful Information > Make Payment. There's a list of banks for your convenience.

Since u're planning to go to their office, I suggest u to talk to them directly. Just call their office and ask what to bring before u go there.
U can also join their free monthly seminar.

We cant really answer to ur questions regarding their processes as we're the client, the same like u.

And our representative seems to be very busy nowadays. hmm.gif

*
tks for interested to open acct...
pls check ur pm...

QUOTE(leiwulong90 @ Feb 27 2010, 05:34 PM)
Planning to switch to them because of their attractive brokerage rate. But how are their services i.e. reliable? Is the brokerage firm well capitalised? Thanks.
*
u may come to our office and check it out...
I think our brokerages still the best for retails investor... if u hav more capt like 2-3mil to trade... i advise to use CIMB..
80% of our client is using cash-up front and we dont provide internal margin...

QUOTE(Havoc Knightmare @ Mar 7 2010, 05:38 PM)
Thanks that really helps!  biggrin.gif

I have one more question, and its more general. I'm planning to head down to Jupiter tomorrow. Do I need to open a new CDS account with them? Or can I link my existing one without dropping my existing remiser?
*
Sure... dont drop ur existing remiser.... just use both broker.... trade wit us but get news or rumours from them... hehehe...

Hmmm... u guys seems to have alot of browser problems. I wonder why.

I have no problem with both of my pc(winxp) and laptop(vista).

If possible, try to borrow someone else's pc or laptop to test. If no problem, then something wrong with your pc/laptop.

This is seriously a software problem.

All the best!

Matt, your advice is not totally right yet not totally wrong, I got it liao... biggrin.gif

The solution is not to right-click IE icon at the taskbar, but to right-click IE in the 'Start' menu! icon_idea.gif

But what are the implications of selecting 'run as administrator'? Will it like, make my computer more vulnerable? sweat.gif

Trust account is like your 'savings account' maintained with the brokerage, whereby you deposit money into it and then all your purchases will be paid from there and proceeds from your sales will be deposited there. Btw your balances are credited with interest at the end of every month. icon_idea.gif

If you opened a 'cash upfront' trade account, the value of shares that you can buy is determined by how much money you have in your trust account, i.e. no buy first, pay later. Most of Jupiter's clients are 'cash upfront' type if I'm not mistaken, but if you need a margin trading account I believe they can help arrange for you. thumbup.gif

I start to don't understand what u wanna ask...can u tell in more detail?

Margin account means u buying shares using borrowed money...

If u talking about TRADING LIMIT and Trust Account, 'trading limit' is the max value of shares that u are currently allowed to buy, 'trust account' is the actual amount of money currently in your trust account.

Dear Shinchan326, there's difference between the trading margin amount and the trust account amount because certain %
from the trust account had been earmarked for the brokerage fee, contract stamps and other fees. Imagine if you have 50k
in your trust account, and then you trade exactly 50k, where do they deduct the fees for brokerage and etc....? That's the point
for cash upfront account. That's why the trading limit is lower than the total amount in trust account. Nevertheless, you should
not be worried because your total $ is still based on your trust account amount if you need to make full withdrawal.

Contact Jupiter Help Desk or your designated remisier to inform them on the bank-in info (amount, date, which bank you bank in, etc), wait for them to update your Trust Account balance, then only you can trade.

On the trading procedure, the is a 'User Guide' section on the left panel of the main page, go read them.

On how to use Jupiter tools, I suggest u guys to attend their monthly free seminar. Or if u cant wait, u can call their helpline.

Jupiter's tools are similar to all online brokerage tools out there. For a total beginner, I would highly recommend to postpone ur trading until u're 100% sure on how to use the tools.
We dont to hear somebody mistakenly click something that can jeopardize ur funds.

A proper manual with a video tutorial would be nice for beginners, specially seasoned players. Hope they read this thread.

Hmm... at the main page, look for "Jupiter Announcement". Wait for the animation to scroll up. Once u see the "seminar" thing, click on it.
This is based on what I remember.

I cant browse the website now as my office lappy got problem with flash etc. Might just reformat this lappy.

Something wrong with your IE.

Try to borrow someones laptop and plug to your connection..
See if its ok. If ok, I would just suggest you do a reformat.

I'm having problem in accessing the website thru my office's laptop. Tried to update the IE. Even remove and reinstall it back. Still the same problem. Planning to send it to our vendor. Probably reformat.

You can even key in orders for tomorrow NOW, no problem. tongue.gif

They send orders quite fast, almost with no lag at all. If you bid at the current best selling price, your purchase order can be matched within 2 seconds. flex.gif

How reliable is their service and platform? Execution of orders efficient and timely? Any disruption to their services? Last thing I want is not being able to sell my shares because the service / platform is down.

Can I place my orders online at night to be excuted the next day when market opens?

Do they offer margin trading i.e. T+3?

I've been logging on and off almost everyday since I signed up early last month, never had any prob (touch wood). icon_rolleyes.gif

Orders are received (and matched) by Bursa within 2 seconds, fast? thumbup.gif

Of course you can place your order anytime. smile.gif

Jupiter doesn't provide internal margin, but they can arrange for you. But the brokerage is slightly higher compared to cash upfront trades. However, for intraday trades, margin account has the lower brokerage. Do check out their website, it can answer practically all your queries. wink.gif

can anyone confirm if Jupiter or RHB still provides this kind of summarised research earnings n dividend data for their ebroking clients? This kind of summary so much faster than looking at bursa website searching one by one.

can anyone confirm if Jupiter or RHB still provides this kind of summarised research earnings n dividend data for their ebroking clients? This kind of summary so much faster than looking at bursa website searching one by one.

I am interested to open an account with jupiter. what is the earliest time to key in the orders for next day session? Can theysend the orders exactly at 8:30:00am if i key in the orders earliest?
*
I asked them the similar question before. According to them.... their system is Straight Through Process. So our trade go straight into Bursa. There should be no lagged time.

I compare with other broker.... I think Jupiter is faster.

but i cant get to their hq as well as am working weekdays.
is that matt4wd still active around?
or any other ways?
*
if you are working.... then you can go during their monthly training.
call them and ask them whether can you join the monthly training. normally only their clients can go.
but try toking to them lar.

normally the training is after working hours. go check their website.

if i am not wrong they can trade SG shares and HK shares.
call them to ask.... i think their brokerage lower than other brokers.

How reliable is their service and platform? Execution of orders efficient and timely? Any disruption to their services? Last thing I want is not being able to sell my shares because the service / platform is down.

Can I place my orders online at night to be excuted the next day when market opens?

Do they offer margin trading i.e. T+3?
*
so far i don't complain about their platform and service. but bear in mind if you are paying such low brokerage rates..... i think i should keep quiet and just use the system.

i love their tools it really help me when i do my research on the stocks.

you can place overnight orders with Jupiter.

I'm currently on HLE and am interested in Jupiter for the low brokerage.

Aside from the lower fees, are there any major disadvantages compared to hle?

if u look in term of commission...actually not much difference, others may beat by few $$..

but if u look at performance... execution of trade - in 2 sec bcoz of STP...straight thro processing.. others if thro broker will execute within 20-50sec bcoz a need of dealer 'CLICK'

availibility & uptime - rarely u can see quote price but cannot execute order.. but other brokers so far u have to follow thro 'STOCK MARKET DISCUSSION' thread ... then u can judge other broker performance where some trader unable to execute trade

ps: unless it's at BURSA end problem...

But there's a catch to it. RM8.88 per trade.... Let's say if you've keyed in an order in the 1st session,
and your order is partially matched in the 1st session, that's considered 1 trade done. And should the next
part of the order was fully matched in the 2nd session, that will be considered another trade. That's 2 trade altogether.
Well, that's what I've been told by a dealer at CIMB IB. Maybe other forumers can verify this. Anyway, as certain sums of $
are required to be kept at a separate account, which is minimum 10k, and somebody mentioned before that the $ kept in this
account won't earn interest, I think Jupiter Securities still offers the best deal. My opinion though.

please take note that it is only RM8 during the promotion period
after which it will be back to RM10 or RM12 (as per fine print)
also if you are using the caculator on the trading platform, please bear in mind the figures preset are only for promotional rates which you only qualify for a limited time after signing up and not the normal rates.

Just wondering, can the Jupiter platform be used using a BlackBerry ?
It is much better if can, then can trade using Blackberry.

Now it is hard, because office is blocking access to Internet.

i just deposited RM100 into my trading account. The trading limit showed RM86.72. Anyone know how to derive this figure?
As far as i know the brokerage fee is RM10, stamp duty RM1 and clearing fee = RM86.72 x 0.03% = RM 2.60
RM100 - RM10 - RM1 - RM2.60 = RM86.40??

I'm on jupiter online anyway

I think the clearing fee should have some vary from your calculation..... As 0.03%, you should divide 100 for your clearing fee..... clearing fee cannot be so high at RM 2.60.... My humble opinion...

Mind to work out the simple calculation?

Added on October 25, 2010, 9:27 amWhat does this mean?
"Brokerage charged is on a PER CONTRACT basis (transactions more than one on the same stock and day will be amalgamated into one contract)."
Let say if i buy 1000 share and the day only trade 100 and next day trade another 100 for ten 10days then i will be charged 10x of brokerage fee>?

1) my favourite stock can be seen in any computer, compare to maybank it only can be seen in computer where it stored. (local storage maybe)
2) buy & sell transaction (connection & approval time) is twice faster, might due to server not busy. not sometime, but most everytime really fast!
3) More option on graph.
4) news on bursa announcement
5) have every single history of placement buy/sell eventhought it not success, compare to coybank only has average success transaction of the day

What a lousy company.

Customer need to wait their agent free time only can meet to complete the CDS account opening.

Agent time more important than customer time.

What is wrong with Jupiter Securities Sdn Bhd ???

QUOTE
Dear Valued Clients,

The Hong Kong stock market is Asia’s second largest stock exchange in terms of market capitalization. As of March 2011, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has 1,426 listed companies with a combined market capitalization of HK$21.4 trillion.

If you are interested to trade in this vibrant market, here is additional good news for you.  Haitong International Securities (formerly known as Taifook Securities) has agreed to lower their brokerage rate for Jupiter clients.

Effective 1 May 2011, you will enjoy the incredible low brokerage of 0.15% or min HKD50 per contract.

If you do not yet have a Hong Kong trading account or would like further information, please contact our Customer Service at +603-20709800 or email servicecenter@jssb.com.my.

I had an inactive domant CDS account with Kenanga Investment Bank .. Planning to open a account with Jupiter/ other online trading platform ...

1. Do I need to re-activate the domant CDS acct before open a new account with other online platform???
2. If I plan to open 3 online platform, eg. HLE, Jupiter, i-Trade .. do I need 3 different CDS account?? Or 1 CDS for 3 platform/broker?

Nowadays ppl don't need remisier.

We can set orders at night time or even holidays and let the order queue itself on the next trading days. The best thing is you can set it to continuous to queue up to 30-days!
And if you are looking to open a Trading Accounts in Klang valley, just drop me a note, my Apex colleagues will be glad to bring you the form and submit it for you.

Jupiter does not allow that I think. Call and ask them. HLeBroking however does allow u to do contra, with 2x trading limit of your cash upfront. I can introduce you to my dealer if you're interested.

Yes you don't really need a remisier nowdays. However when you open an account they will assigned you a dealer/remisier. If you get good dealer/remisier, they could probably help u such as advising you on certain2 stuff, maybe update you about the current market and economic conditions etc. Some traders/investors probably find such 'service' useful to them.

You can just email your allocated remiser. Give them your bank-in details and your client code.
No surcharge fee incurred. But the amount shown in the account will be the net amount you can purchase in the share market.

Jupiter FFK me previously also. Say will open new branch at JB and will contact me. End up no news.

ECM CS to be frank, really talk one hour also cannot solve issue, Amost shouted at them over the phone.

My old OSK is the best. Their dealers eventhough not their direct client is very responsive and can remember clients very well. Sometimes, I spoke to another dealer, then when I call back next time, my direct dealer knows why I am calling. Even can remember voice.

I inquired then about the account opening early May this year. They told me opening would be in 2 weeks time. Then, in June, they told me 2 more weeks after I asked again. Since then, no news. Never know they actually successfully open the branch. Well, I guess, my case was a forgotten case.

At the moment Jupiter cannot support, and it seem like no plan even after talk to them.
So now plan to switch to hlebroking which is right now already support for android, their platform seem to be quite comprehensive. Most importantly they also offer 0.1% rate for cash account.

As I'm new for shares trading, please enlighten me regarding this, will Jupiter Securities, ECMlibra or ECMmoney, third party brokers gone bankrupt after financial crisis? and will our money in the trust account gone, or unable to retrieve back our shares in Bursa Malaysia?

For other bank such as HLB, MBB and CIMB they have their own bank to backup, I presume is less risky.

Thank you.

1. Until today, how many branches do Jupiter have? 4? KL, PJ, Penang and Johor each place got 1? Is it? unsure.gif

2. Do you guys think Jupiter Securities is financially strong? I see its parent company Olympia is at even more serious net loss than last year. How about Jupiter? Is it a loss making company too? sweat.gif

3. As Jupiter got trading platform for java phone, since Android got java emulator, which means we may trade on Android phone or Samsung Galaxy Pad? Anyone tried before? Please share.

Thanks!! notworthy.gif

broker fees RM 12. But pbbank offer nominee account. U don't get any interest. They don't offer any research reports/comments, only have a screen for u to trade that tall. No offshore trading.

That why I joint Jupiter securities..... icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

So it's definitely a no no on public bank then. shakehead.gif

I like Jupiter's system actually. It's very easy to use, and very good features for traders. System is faster than those bigger brokers, probably because of lesser users. Research papers are less though. And also, Jupiter still tak ada support for iphone/ipad etc. right?

Ecmmoney has a built in application called I-Libra for I-phone and Android phones that allows for trading using the phone. There is no need to login to the internet browser if you are using a smartphone.

Currently Ecmmoney is only on IE however very soon it will be available on other browsers (firefox, google chrome, safari, etc.). In fact if you have a Ecmmoney account you can try to login on other browsers and it should work already. The reason hasn't officially announced is because it is still in testing phase.

I have been using Jupiter's trading platform on my Android phone for 2 years. As long as you have a proper J2ME emulator on your android phone, you should be able to run Jupiter's mobile platform.

My android phone is a HTC Desire. HTC's android phone comes prebuilt with a J2ME emulator program called "Java". IT works perfectly with Jupiter's mobile platform.

However, I have tried Samsung's Galaxy phone when it first came out but it does not have a built in J2ME emulator. The 3rd party emulator found on the internet that runs on the Galaxy (this was 2 years ago) could not run Jupiter's mobile platform properly. Therefore I bought the HTC Desire instead.

I don't know if there is any update to the 3rd party Java emulators out there that will enable you to run Jupiter's program. You have to search and test out.

So, let's be clear here, Jupiter can run on Android as long as your android phone has a good J2ME emulator program installed. If your phone does not have one, call up the phone manufacturer and find out where to find that program for your phone and tell them a 2 year old HTC Desire running Froyo has a prebuilt emulator than runs perfectly.

Looks like Jupiter does not support Mac users. I have tried loading the trading hall using Safari and Opera, but no success. Going to switch all my trading to iTrade then.

Well, yes, natively the Jupiter platform can not support MacOS as the Excelforce client required you to run an add-on to it. So the work around for me is to install WindowsOS within the Mac, I m using the Parallel 7 on my iMac and the traing platform work wonderfully.

their platform is misbehaving again today
although my internet connection is good and maybank online stock trading which runs on the same type of activex platform works like a charm today.

called their customer service and they remained clueless asking me to enable http real time and all those noob shit as if we have not tried it already.

i am damn fed up with their customer service. plus the head of jupiter online the new lady which replaced the old guy, writes announcements with very bad grammar, cheap stock broking in malaysia has gone down the drain.

It's not missing... the funds available to trade is lower by RM27 ... this RM27 is in the Trust Account.

hi anyone! I'm from Seremban. can your people introduce me a Jupiter's officer or remiser who are around Seremban here so that i can sign the application forms. Working hour is difficult for me to go there. or meet up after working hour / on weekend in somewhere KL area.
or i fill up & sign the form without witness of notary public (cost too high), then post to the remiser and he/she act like I was signed in front. (look like im break the rules).. will this work?

If you do not insist on Jupiter, try contact Hong Leong. Last time I just faxed the form to them.
Otherwise, 6/18 is just 11 days away.

Jupiter securities, not bad in services. Is better than other big broker companies, where the workers feel like they themselves are powerful and sky-high status same as the company. Not like Jupiter staffs, friendly.

I think jupiter will insist you to go to their office to sign up the forms at least for the sign-up. Bf u go, ask them what doc they require u to bring along.
