It's perfectly alright to get excited. Even if the rumors are strong, please don't trust it completely. Always have other ways in case we can't get it here

So even though Apple and Maxis did signed a contract, maybe Apple have not update their website yet or both party decide to keeping it secretive maybe for marketing purposes.

i'm willing to bet an iphone saying that it's gonna be launch in this month, who dare enough to take this bet. im man of my words

Still a rumor until the round Malaysian flag is in the Coming Soon part of the country availability.

No announcement in apple site means just a rumor. Maxis so big ka that Apple bow down to their demand to keep it hush hush. Putting/advertising it on the site will help more on the marketing side.

I still hope maxis launch iphone even though i just bought an iphone...

I was wondering..if ever maxis launch iphone here, will Msian waiting in long queue to grab iphone or at least hot respond that demand rising?

hmm.. it shouldnt be so overwhelming respond as this 3g was officially launched more then half a year and many locals already owned one...rite?

Those who keep pointing to the lack of an announcement by Apple and the lack of a Malaysian flag on their iPhone website as evidence that these rumblings are baseless rumours are obviously unfamiliar with how Apple markets and builds up buzz for their products.

Apple will make an annoucement when they feel it's the right time to make an annoucnement. Apple is the one that doesn't want the news to break yet, not Maxis, hence the informal leaks about the iPhone coming from Maxis themselves.

I would join the betting people who are willing to bet that some solid news is definitely coming this month, if I was a betting man. I've seen too many corroborations elsewhere to dismiss this round of rumours. There's a bigger world of info sources out there than just this thread you know .

Not to say i dont wanna trust you, but please remember what happened in last year July.

A lot of rumours telling maxis bringing iphone to malaysia, and many people was talking about it. but at the end, nothing happened...

hmmm, just wait n see lo, if maxis launch or dun launch, i'm getting an iphone, but since its so close to the rumoured launch date, i'll wait, coz i've been waiting since the iphone 2g, that's like 2 years? wat is another 1 or 2 weeks? XD....just hope the price is reasonable, i dun mind if the price as same as the one that are selling in garage sales, coz it's official warrantied XD

last year's rumours weren't supported by insider info unlike the coming up official launch which is confirmed by reliable sources on the telco side.
