IMO if the iPhone launches with Maxis, it wouldn't be worth it. I'd still go and buy a fully unlocked unit. I predict Maxis will definitely supply a locked unit and rip customers off with premium charges that are not friendly with the everyday user. I'm guessing they will focus on high end users like corporate.

yeah..if its a glitch, shud be rectified by now.. (mayb its just me refusin to lose hope on the iphone releasin in msia officially..haha).. but the openin of Apple online store Malaysia..now this..kinda fishy lar.. hope for the best=)

This is my opinion:
Past few weeks, Maxis 3G data package is getting better and better (from what i experience)..
since we are not in the apple's coming soon list, plus Apple Store Msia for iphone is not ready ( http://store.apple.com/my/browse/home/shop...one?mco=MTE2NTQ ),  nothing much can we  say about this 'official' rumors.
i'm thinking that next week (or maybe tomorrow) is an official that maxis line/network system will work properly for iPhone 3G data setting.

so MAYBE we re looking at end of March or early April on May or Jun or July to get our iPhone .. MAYBE..

(try to be in the safe mood since the waiting have been so long)

Because if any legal implications are taken against them, they are screwed. Whether there is any actual NDA(Non Disclosure Agreement) signed or just agreed verbally, spillage of information like these by an internal staff will trace back to them as source, and may be dealt with penalties like lawsuits or other nasty ramifications. By them remaining anonymous, and by letting other third party spilling them out, this negates any direct linkage to the leak to them, and still provide news to those waiting for this.

My sources are not "friends", "brother in law" or the kind. I abhor these cheap gossips and spreading of false rumors, they only generate false hope that ultimately disappoints those who are genuinely waiting for the locally made available iPhones.
