Like Tanoshi said... it's 'pot luck' basis. So; if you just want to bring some food stuffs from Taipei also can.
We're not really hoping for a big heavy meal during the gathering but just enough food & tidbits to go around for people to enjoy.

Also, about your question earlier on the the temperature and what to wear - I don't think you need gloves and the winter hat thingy... it's not that that cold anymore and gloves are super troublesome. Just wear a jacket with pockets you can bury your hand into.

as for fuji @ hakone, pic was in winter '05. view from lake cruise , moto-hakone

and the hakone sightseeing guide in the cable car/train. very easy.

Hmm..how much normally to go to Onsen.I really want to go but I bring my family along.Darn

some onsen charges JPY400 ~ 500 per person. but, since you are going with family, go to onsen where it is a family mixed onsen and this onsen requires you to have swimwear. else, take time out , go alone je lah. got few numbers around tokyo.
