No. I hope JJ leaves the franchise to do Star Wars where this type of action format is more applicable.

Star Trek with minimal space battles is booooooooo.

i thought the director really want to kill that character
so that they can bring captain luc-picard in the next movie

btw im not a star trek fans,so dont blame me if luc-picard doesnt belong in the same timeline with the current character  wink.gif

There is so many things wrong about bringing jean luc into this trek universe, donno where to start.

I prefer the 1st one. This one is ok but i feel there is too much dilly dally stuff. I was hoping for more Kirk & Kahn battles, like Kahn got his own ship then both of them try to out smart each others. This show wasted a lot of time at many scenes like bromance and other stuff.
*
Well, its actually 2 stories in one. The enterprise crew vs khan and the friendship development between kirk and spock which is iconic in trek universe. If spock didnt have uhura, kirk and spock might as well be closeted gays.

It depends on you, i personally like the this one abit better than the first since the bad guy in the first movie isnt memorable, khan is one of the greatest enemies in trek plus benedict cumberbatch acting as khan is good. Too bad not as flamboyant as the original khan.

Not just the development with spock. Nearly the whole movie is on relationships Kirk & Spock, Kirk & Pike, Uhura & Spook, Kirk & Scotty.... To me it's quite a major let down waited 4 years from the 1st one in 2009 only see it became mostly a drama movie. I guess when i heard Khan i was hoping for a epic battle not some drama.

Precisely. How do we know that jean luc will be the captain of enterprise D since new timeline?

I would like to see a new tv series of startrek that is based on jj abrams trek universe, but further in the future after jean luc time, a new time with crew and challenges.

Most likely something to do with the romulans since they pissed of at the federation for not helping them with their planet blowing up.

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

With 84 episodes of Star Trek The original Series, 178 episodes of Star Trek The Next Generation, 172 episodes of Star Trek Voyager, 176 episodes of Star Trek Deep Space Nine, 98 episodes of Star Trek Enterprise and NOT TO MENTION 12 theatrical films (phew, what a mouth full), can J.J. Abrams and gang pull of the impossible??!

Another fresh, original and fanboy pleasing Star Trek movie??

I believe the answer is YES!!

Story - fresh, original, entertaining, brilliant and there are themes that are revisited (I believe the Hollywood term is "re-imagine")
Pacing - Unbelievable
Cast - Perfect!
Action - Non stop
Picture Quality - Eye Popping Imax 3D
Sound Quality - Is the Enterprise chasing my A$$??!! tongue.gif

Downside??

You betcha. Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy I believe had since become fast friends. I believe Chris Pine had very cockily stated that he was to make Kirk his own character... I believe they are both channeling their predecessors... They are both developing... a pot belly...! (Damn you form fitting Star Trek uniforms... Damn you...) laugh.gif

It have been more then 3 years since we last saw Chris as Kirk, and all the new found fame and wealth and my assumption partying is taking their toll on Chris... he has AGED!!

But I digress and I'm nitpicking...

I really hope that they make another Star Trek movie, WAY BEFORE fours years from now.

This movie is gonna make Paramount ALOT of money. The question is whether Paramount is willing to give all players their share so everyone will come back.

Another concern would be J.J Abrams had since sign on to another monster project, Star Wars VII...

Do I LOVE this movie?

If I wasn't being clear, HELL YES!!

DO I want more???

YES PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP.

As always...

My two Sen.

P.S. Please note that our Censorship board had decided to make 3 VERY OBVIOUS CUTS from the movie...

That has actually been done, in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) which almost killed the franchises (nothing wrong with the movie, it is just that the movie expected every viewer to be a fanboy, and judging by the number of attendees.... that is exactly what had happened...)
