Yup D3 will have battlnet but I hope it will have single player mode where we can play offline anywhere. Sucks if its just another online game. Of course battlenet will be a must but still some ppl will like to complete the storyline without getting PK by other player while enjoying the storyline

Ya thats SC2 but I doubt D3 system will be the same. Blizzard always come up with some mechanism to combat piracy every game they release. Its a good move but dont over do it please.

Don't assume. Wait for official announcements from Blizzard.

Still much better than Ubisoft's earlier DRM.

They can implement the world's most advanced DRM for all i care. Just as long as they make sure the online multiplayer is hack-free!

Considering how many fans Blizzard have and how awesome is SC2's matchmaking, i doubt i want to play SP at all.

I'll probably co-op all the way till the end.

I'm still trying to figure out why is the hell being online is such a hassle for people nowadays? Are we still dialing 1515 to online? If yes, then the statement "being online to combat piracy is stupid" acceptable.

Because most of us still share the line with other people - housemate, family member, etc. And there are sth that called PPStream, torrents that basically used up all the bandwidth. If you do not experience such situation, then good for you. But not everyone is as lucky.

Wait, nvm, I am sure this is my problem for having housemate/ family member, and my own problem because ppstream and torrents exists. All hail Blizzard.

Then you're trying to say because of your family/housemate issue, Blizzard have to make it up to you and let the pirates loose? (Yeah i know the game will still be hacked/pirated anyway)

Oh btw, they don't care about Malaysia anyway. If you guys looking for pirating the game, Blizzard don't care anyway.

Back in KL, from time to time, I cursed the fact that we need to be online to play games. Now in SG, I don't really give a rat ass bout it, connection is stable enough for me and my bros to game on Steam while my girl to PPStream. No torrents though, those are really heavy on the bandwidth.

It does make a different having the option to remain offline to game IMO, especially games that I don't need or want to be online to play (namely Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc). I seldom play in Battlenet despite the fact that I have an original Diablo 2, cause it was fun enough on my LAN with my bros.

First of all, I am not talking about myself, I am commenting on behalf of so many other players that facing the same problem - sharing internet line with some selfish SOB. What is so wrong when I think Blizzard should take into account of these poor soul? You argue that Blizzard use ONLINE to counter piracy, so is it successful? NO. People still can pirate starcraft 2, and this proof that what Blizzard doing is not an effective way to counter piracy. And since it is ineffective, why still use it?

Mind you, I am not entirely disagree with DRM and I do not support Jack Sparrow.

Try moving 4 times a year and traveling KL-Ipoh-Penang all the time and living at the northern region that the Internet line is as good as 1515.

Oh wait..... that is my problems right? Its not Blizzard's problems right?

So it is my problem to move so often, it is my problem to travel so often with no Internet conenction, it is my problem for living at place with crappy Internet connection and it is Malaysians problem to stuck with TM, not Blizzard's problem to requiring the player to authenticate online before playing and removing LAN right?

It is the problem of a country but not the problem of the DRM by Blizzard right?

So by having all these problems I am not a Blizzard's customer and don't deserve to enjoy the game fully even after I pay RM250 for it because it is my problems right?

So if Blizzard don't care for people pirating their game, I wonder why the force players to authenticate on Battlenet and remove LAN. Maybe because they are preparing to charge a monthly subscription fee for multiplayer like Xbox Live?

Yes, it's all your own problem, why Blizzard have to deal with pitypetty person like you?
If you think that Blizzard made a wrong move, don't play their game. Easy as that.

And about subscription fee, don't even start that with. I see no reason why Blizzard have to associate themself like Xbox nor M$.

But when u mention problem of a country, I don't see any problem with SC2 community here.
Oh ya, shout all you want, Blizzard can't hear you. kthxbai.

I agree with you on this. Don't play the game if you really hate the DRM and shit.

Eh hello, WOW is MMORPG, and yeah, there's no wrong with implementing subscription fee.
Single Player games like Diablo and Starcraft and Warcraft?

I think he was comparing WoW (MMORPG) to Single Player games like Diablo and Starcraft and Warcraft.

Since WOW is a MMORPG, so it's justifiable that you need to pay a monthly subscription fee.
