400W for one card, not SLI!!

I think i read somewhere you need at least 700> W if you're doing SLI.

I only have a 450 W power supply!

I believe what he meant was: "CF will take about 400W or less"

CF =/= SLI

Anyway a PSU with 450watt is recommended for a single HD4850

ok, something to ask b4 i get tis card...
is it worth an upgrade from 3870 to 4870 ? i know from benchie such as 3dmark vantage and 3dmark06 show the 4870 far more superior, but wat i mean is in real life gaming, worth enough to spent rm900 for an upgrade from my 3870 ? or should i just spent another rm500 for crossfire 3870 setup ? i using p35 mobo, sure will be bottleneck problem...

i nid some comment from ppl using tis card, such as how well tis card OC, gaming experience with it...

4870 vs the_rest

this card really kicking a$$....

single card should be no bottlenecks get it and enjoy. im enjoying my 4850 and the pwnage it gets me in cod4 XD

Just 2 weeks ago, I already tested with this extreme platform at my office.

Processor: Intel C2D E8400
Mainboard: Gigabyte X48-DQ6
GPU: Gigabyte ATI HD4850 512MB DDR3 * 2 (Crossfire)
RAM: Corsair 2GB *2 DDR2 800 XMS
HDD: Western Digital WD5000AAKS
PSU: Acbel R8 800watt

Here the result, only 'play' this platform without 2 hours, just a simple test. All the parts is belong my customer, I just order & assemble the system to him. In the 'limited time' for 4 hours to setup.

Because I have no time to update my software version, I still using GPU-Z 0.21, some of the GPU information detection from GPU-Z 0.21 software was wrong.

Below the test, all running under default clock. because I no enough time to do overclocking tweaks.

4650 hav 320sp but 128bit mem
but i think the performance shld be around 3850

bro, you only need to spend another rm500 to get the hd4870.
2nd hand hd3870 = rm400.
