I dont see much wrong with his english.
Anyway what he basically says is distro wont lower the price for the time being because there is still old stocks. No lower priced cards till they clear the more expensive older stocks. |

Added on July 9, 2008, 8:56 pm QUOTE(goldfries @ Jul 9 2008, 08:50 PM) side panel open on a bad air-flow casing would result it better airflow but not necessarily good air-flow. try use table fan blow at it. I got another ancient computer beside it so dont really have room to put a table fan Using the cd driver, downloading the hotfix now This post has been edited by ivanchin99: Jul 9 2008, 08:56 PM |

QUOTE(OmniAtlas @ Jul 11 2008, 12:27 AM) uhm. i can't seem to change the fan speed. my CCC doesn't allow me to adjust or turn on the ATI Overdrive section so that may be the fault. My catalyst cc auto load the profile everytime it loads - i dont need to do anything except setting my fan speed once. From another forum: if you make a profile in catalyst after turning on Overdrive( make sure clock and memory settings are correct). You can then go to the file "C:\Users\Bretware\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Bretware. XML. the xml file will have the same name as the catalyst profile you saved. right click and hit edit. <Feature name="FanSpeedAlgorithm_0"> <Property name="FanSpeedAlgorithm" value="Manual" /> </Feature> <Feature name="FanSpeedRPMTarget_0"> <Property name="Want" value="0" /> </Feature> <Feature name="FanSpeedPercentTarget_0"> <Property name="Want" value="65" /> Change the value to "manual" and Want value to "65" Save the file then reload your profile in catalyst. 65% seemed perfect for me, 70% was loud but you may need it if your case has poor air flow. You will may have to select the profile everytime you start the computer, but it will work until there is a fix or better info so i can figure how to change the auto target temp. Good Luck ,bretware |
